You know, at least the man is forwarding information. Why someone would give you a negative when your passing on integration information is beyond me. The integration method seems fair. But I am sure there will be someone who thinks differently, as always.

No progress and no future talks scheduled.

IAM is still waiting for a decision to be released, it hasnt been denied nor approved.

Now I can see why the Company wants to get a full transition CBA now rather than later. Obviously both Unions are already talking to each other and I would assume on a number of Sections besides Seniority. The IAM must think all its members would be better off economically if we go the seperate CBA route then incorporate a Transition later within the next 2 Years.
Do what every have to get your contract settled first

how will the teamsters filing for election affect the mechanics at this point in the talks etc

IMHO, the ibt filing just set your contract negotiations back one or two years. Minimum until after a vote, maybe an appeal.
But be happy that it isn't the AMFA "raiders"... :p
B) xUT
This is exactly what the Tempe boys want. Because of the actions of a bottom feeding union like the teamsters, the mechanics will not have a new contract.

"As you are aware this coming July 1st you will receive a 3% base rate of pay increase. This will be the second 3% base rate of pay increase since the amenable date of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). These increases are outlined in Article 23 and while such a clause is not common in the airline industry this is the second time the IAM has negotiated such a provision into your contract. "
Very good for the mechanics
