LUS/AA Below wing issues

Many issues and much contractual language needs to be addressed in JCBA negotiations. Tighter and more consistent language is needed from one article to the other. The JCBA encompasses working conditions and wages. Too often there is too much emphasis on compensation. The devil is in the details of any agreement. Record profits. It's time to strike the iron while it is hot.

one of the many items we should have is a long term or permanent grandfathering of stations in whereas the company cannot outsource.      I know that's asking a lot of the company  but I feel we need that...  🙂         for way too long the companies been able to outsource during the mid 2000s

I question what will happen to catering  given that AA uses LSG  and US has its own

Management turns a blind eye to agents that only know how to wing walk, instead of making them learn all of the jobs. Which would make life a little easier on the leads and other agents.

Jesus,
Thats EASY to fix.
Just grab the wands, and be the first guy to head for a wing, far enough out of earshot if any supervisor is yelling or waving at you to come back in to pushback.
It's a tried and true exercise that worked to PERFECTION in BOS/ORD/EWR and BDL.

Hopefully the IAM leadership has learned it lesson on outsourcing stations for HUB favoritism

I'm aware. I'm just looking for that kind of language put in for JCBA contract

I'm talking to john john not you robbed.

He always tries to throw jabs at the IAM, meanwhile Nero is fiddling with the CWA while Rome is burning in negotiations with the CWA and U.S.

Your are right it’s been tuff for CWA at negotiations with management throwing the IAM United POS contract and the non-union Delta work rules and benefits at them

Yet you keep ignoring the fact PMUS IAM Fleet service has the best scope language in the industry now.

They do indeed. The question is... can or will they maintain that level of protection going forward in JCBA negotiations with AA? The level of scope protection, negotiated by the same union, at UA and LUS, is very different. As a result... we see what happens when scope protection is sacrificed in order to obtain an agreement with hourly wage improvements and the lure of retro pay. Countless IAM represented jobs below wing at UA have already been lost as a result of the agreement at UA. Higher insurance contributions and job loss have made any wage increases "cost neutral" at best below and above wing at UA. Let's not ignore this recent result. Lessons should be learned.

Damn Right!!

Don't fall for the BS. It's not all about the money anymore. And we are learning a very painful lesson from it.......those who survived.
That is why I am hoping and praying that you guys do better. You now have to best scope, and must preserve it.  All we can do now is see how the Association works your deal, and hopefully take the best points into our upcoming negotiations.
