Dennis Mead a 20+ year TWU Local 514 member and I believe Inspector was walked out by AA on Thursday.

Dennis had been leading Wednesday membership rally's on the Tulsa Base related to the negotiations for the last 4 or 5 weeks.

Posting Flyers around the base asking members to gather at the Aircraft Wash Rack at 10:00am each Wednesday.

Each week the group was increasing in size with last Wednesday having well over 200 members in attendance.
The meetings lasted no more than 10-15 minutes each week. With Dennis speaking about management stalling negotiations and how he felt this was wrong.

H.R. rep was present this last Wednesday taking pictures. Dennis spoke about Management tearng down the flyers and asked everyone to take flyers, help keep them posted and visible and then bring a friend with them next week.

On Thursday Mr. Dennis Mead was walked out by H.R.

To date only response for TWU Leadership ... Fear and Silence.

So as the saying goes "It's all Tulsa'a Fault"

On Friday morning during work hours a rally was held at the Tulsa Base Flag Pole in support of Veterans Day.
Far more employees on the clock attended at 7:00 am and it lasted much longer than the Union Rally's.
No H.R. and nobody walked out. In fact it was announced over the company P.A.
So you can hold a rally to support those fighting for your Freedom, just don't think about using that Freedom to complain about Corporate Greed.

Dennis Mead has been returned to work!!

He wasn't back to work as of noon yesterday.

Can he hold his anti-Corporate Greed Rally next week?
Or is Local 514 Leadership going to take the lead now?
How about you CIO, care to lead something....anything?

Are YOU not his "brother" too?
While YOU are pointing the finger look in the mirror.

Why does it always have to be someone else with YOU brave chest pounding NO voters?
You are a perfect example of why I voted yes and I have doubts we can do better.
Because having people like you of on my side leaves me with little faith, and with damn good reason.
I voted yes, not because I liked the T/A, but because many like you are on my team.

And just to be clear, anything I plan or know being planned will not be posted here like some stupid ass fool would do.

I was trying to inform within reason and within the LAW what was happening and all you can do is start bitching about someone else doing something. F.U. "brother"

Are you Dennis Mead? Because I am not hearing anythng about you leading anything. Why should the memebership not be intimidated by the company, the TWU is. That is why we pay you and the other leaders. I believe an obivous term comes to mind, while I do not know you, you sir must be a hy***rit. Please change your handle to Shadow Man. Get a new T-shirt and put a new slogan on it. Better yet use an old slogan, "Will Strike If Provoked"

In case you did not get the last part it is being Two Faced.

So AA isn't willing to suffer its employees holding impromptu "Our worthless union sucks" rallies on the clock? Now there's a shocker.

Is the argument that AA discriminates based on the topic of a rally? I can only imagine the outcry (not just here, but in the mainstream media as well) if AA had interferred in any way with a Veterans Day observance (even if on the clock). But does that foreclose AA from taking any action about the "my worthless union sucks and is failing to represent me properly" rallies?

Maybe they get breaks throughout the day and are being held during their 15 minute breaks. If so, then AA or any other company shouldn't be telling you what you can and can't do on YOUR break.

To my knowledge the weekly rally has never been directed at the Union and wasn't even within this discussion until Buck entered into the thread. But instead, the rallies were strictly directed towards AA Management and their stall tactics in negotiations. Once again you have it all wrong, because you think you know something about our profession but know nothing from your company cubicle.

Thanks I learned most of my disapproval techniques about the union from you.

Since Dennis Mead, from what I have gathered, was in opposition of either the delay by either the company or the union, I just guessed that you were opening a thread for a discussion of both the company and union and the tactics they employ during negotiatioins.

When people come on here and practice free speech, it tends to irritate others and the responses are not very christian, so I will try and refrain from doing so. I appoligize to CIO for anything I said or wrote here.

I'm glad you guys are standing up for this guy. Good Luck!

I learned everything I know about posting when you know nothing about what's going on from you, master:

profanity and name calling doesn't bother me because it's typical of my union brothers.......did I say "UNION" brothers, now that's a laugh! We're not union brothers when they walk someone out and people stand around, shake, and put their tails between their arses. Chest pounder, NO! A No voter on a POS T/A.....ABSOLUTELY! And, proud of having a little integrity!

Doesn't change the fact that the rallies have not been about union representation as you claimed.

I was informed albeit that Dennis Mead may have been walked out in relation to some fliers being posted and possiibly conducting discussions concerning a delay in the negotiation process.

The fliers say "Something has got to give" with a statement about how long it has been 8.5 years.

Of course I could be wrong and it might have to do with something else altogether. I am just glad that Dennis is back to work, according to CIO, but who am I to question his post.
