Labor And Management

Sorry I feel no dedication to the hostile leadership here. I can not see the majority of Mechanics working for one dime less or giving up anything including the most important item they have had in their contract and that being "scope". Dave picked the fight. The IAM will end it. You can only kill me once. Now that I am not afraid of death you have no options. He went too far with Maintenance. Personally I don't give a damn if the airline makes it or not if Mechanics have to come in for anything less. I will tell you this when the Mechanics go so will the company. If you want to give everything you have back to Dave then go ahead because Maintenance is not giving any more. So Maintenance gave and are not giving any more 'period'. If you don't understand that then go ahead and proceed with your threats. You can not hurt them anymore than you already have.

P.S.-Hey there "The Truth".......Hehe.........You are funny........Never let 'em see you sweat.........whoop....whoop...........panic mode.......lol

Future poverty wage worker family below........Some folks are 'ok' with that as long as they get theirs though......

mweiss states: The overall satisfaction that CO, AS, and WN employees seem to have suggests that the employees don't necessarily have to be collateral damage. I suspect B6 employees feel the same way, though I have never met any.

mwiess,

Why do you do that? Why do you make these assumptions a if it is factual knowisms, and than add in the end..."though I have never met any".

What exactly is your point?

Well, PITbull,

I've seen mostly positive posts from the B6 employees here (compare that to the substantial number of bitter US posts). And I have a pretty decent amount of hearsay that backs it up.

You should be happy that I don't write it as if it were fact. I try to be as careful as possible when expressing my suspicions or hypotheses to phrase it such that it is clear where fact ends and opinion or speculation begins.

I'd think you'd find that much better than many posts around here, where opinion and speculation is phrased as if it were fact...

oh boy, mweiss, gee...thanx for your humble sincereity. Yea, it makes me quite happy how careful you are....

The vast majority of the employees must be willing to change and accept the lower wages,
Anyone care to venture a guess as to which employees arent in this category?

According to prophecy the Mechanics will not take any more pillaging from their employer. So it be said, so it be written, so it be done.

If you Pitguy were as dedicated to yourself and livelihood as you say your are, then why not leave this god forsaken place? They treat you like crap u say they pay horribly and over work you u hint. One would wonder from the outside why are you here? Is evil your motivator here? Why are you here. They cant give you want u need or desiire. Is it principle that you want us to believe that keeps you here and fans the flames for you to stay? One would have to wonder, (most importantly yourself) why someone is treated so badly , why would a good human being like your self want to be treated this way . Oh wait let me answer! You are paid well , STILL! Your working conditions are still good, your not in a sweat shop.....Your benefits cost more however they all do country wide. You have benefits and pay scales that in rare cases could be matched. Have you ever thought of it this way ? Im not preaching just pointing out the obvious that many on here im sure think . Whats your motive here? Do yourself and your blood pressure and more importantly your family a favor, take care of yourself!

If I were an IAM member I would contact my local union officials and advise them to negotiate with the company. Now is the time to strike a deal on the outsourcing issue. As one poster stated on this board recently, there could be consequences for this group if they do not agree to work rule changes and permit the company to keep the maintenance in-house versus outsourcing the work.
Why negotiate with executives that can't even honor the contracts they just signed a year ago?

And thank god you are not an IAM Member!

Pitbull, Those are ruthless statements to make towards this management team.

I am an IAM member and couldn't disagree any more with your wimpy attitude.

Your screen name is deceptive because You Can’t Handle The Truth!

FYI For those who are not US employees. The people who pose as us mechs on here and spout the "factual truths" are not representive of our great men and women who work on our aircraft everyday. We have a safe airline with great people who are trained and loyal to this company. Granted we have our own problems as every company does, I assure you this isnt the majority opinion on the line. I speak to mechs al the time and one lives down the road from me. They are all discouraged and upset but do not share the tactics and anger u see here. I apologize if it seems the way it seems , however do not forget that we have the best in the industry working for US and I for one appreciate the ones who do their job to the best of their ability and air their laundry at home.

Who died and made you the spokesperson for 5,000 + IAM Mechanic and Related?

Last time I checked you do not work in the Maintenance Department, probably never stepped foot in one of our hangars and talked to the people working?

Stick to things you know, because as Cavalier told another companyman, why don't you take a trip through the CLT and PIT maintenance centers and tell the hard working employees to take concessions, you would not last a NY minute.

You have no idea of how unified the employees are against Dave, he has not stolen your work, he has stolen ours.

You are a piece of work if you think you can speak for the mechanic and related and you are not even one of them and do not even work with them.

Here is some proof of how the members unified against Dave!

Here are some more facts for you!

Another group showing their dissatisfaction with Dave stealing the airbus work!
