You actually have the Nerve to Say that about All DEM'S ????

Which President is it that is Not able to Spell, Count, Add, Subtract Run A COUNTRY ETC ??????
Ugh, I don't know.. could it be Clinton, no he could probably spell, run a country, I don't think so-too preoccupied with chasing skirts of 21 year old interns.. Carter, yeah he wasn't very good at running the country either-if I remember correctly, he let all those hatians in who had just been released from the slammer.. Take your pick.

He may have chased after skirts...BUT I know a lot of people also were employed at that time !!!!!!!!

He wasn't as concerned about saving everyone elses COUNTRY !!!!!! And leaving his own hanging there trying to bring the Unemployment rate DOWN!!!!!

Let's get back on the topic, everyone. There are lots of websites for D vs R, Clinton bashing, Bush bashing, etc. I believe the topic was Sen Kerry and his remarks several years ago about US Airways. (Was he upset at U because U had lost his bag? :D

Can someone who knows more about Sen Kery than I do enlighten us about more recent statement concerning U and/or the state of the airline industry?

If not, pehaps this thread should be closed.

The only thing that this proud CWA union member and also a Republican can say is that I am more concerned that Kerry has gotten a much needed shot in the arm for his campaign and also remember quite fondly of Kerry's comments. My question to you fellow U employees and Democrats is how to handle this situation.

That's easy.

VOTE!

I still want an explanation from the IAM about them putting the guy on the cover of the LL Newsletter 2 years after making those comments.

The president we all can thank is none other than the dumbest of them all....Jimmy Carter, king of deregulation. Our business SUCKS because of him. I don't have my job anymore because of deregulation, low cost K-Mart carriers and camel jockey terrorists. I spend every day looking for airline work again and envy all of the ancient ones who had enough time to keep your jobs. I hope US Airways go out of buisness...not the same reasons as Kerry, he's just a idiot, but I want to see everyone else meet my fate. Underemployed, miserable and scouring want ads for a year, only to be offered part-time, sh1tty wage, no benefit airline work. Thank you Dave, thank you Jimmy and special thanks to Osama Bin Laden and his like. I

The picture is not on the cover it was inside, and people need to know when a candidate or someone important supports labor, and there is nothing wrong with that and you have agreed with 100% of everything that someone you voted for said or did?

And if it bothered you so much why have you not written a letter to the Editor?

I hope Edwards, but the way things work, probably Dean or Kerry - Yeah, they'll pull a lot of votes in the sunny South!

Dean is toast now. That display after his meltdown in the caucus was hilarious. He may get 2nd in NH due to being a New England boy, but probably 3rd or 4th. After NH, he's history. Edwards a force to be taken seriously, a decent showing in NH and winner in SC. Edwards star definitely rising.

Dean will never recover from that soundbite, but I bet he'll make more of 'em. Saturday Night Live is gonna love him.

I chuckle just hearing it again in my head. "YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY"

Every radio show in "drivetime" was playing it where I live as well. One station was playing it, and then going over to what Bush was saying during that State of the Union address last night. Quite a contrast. Say what you will about Dean; at least he's passionate about what he's doing. I gotta agree he'll be done after/if he shows poorly in the south, though.

I don't give a crap if it was on the cover or on the inside, it was wrong for the "leadership" to let him slide on this. I may vote for someone I don't agree with on everything (I voted for Bush, will probably do so again although I disagree with policies like the Patriot Act), but I will not vote for someone who is so callous as to say my job (former one in this case) means nothing to him, which is what he said. Then it is election time, and he is buddy-buddy with labor. Is it any wonder union membership is at all time record lows in this country when leadership is so blind?

628AU, are you on layoff?

On September 11, 2001 was a terrible day, on September 14, 2001 the airlines got $5 billion in our tax money scott free and another $10 billion in loan gaurantees.

The airlines laid over well over 100,000 people after taking the government handout from our tax dollars and what did the the laid off airline people get? They got an extra 26 weeks of unemployment.

Airways cut over 20,000 jobs and took our tax dollars. Yep the man you voted for and will vote for again is the only President since Herbert Hoover to have negative job growth, 58,000 jobs a month have been lost under the Bush regime. But we can give $82 billion to Iraq and let our own people starve and die.

Yep, great choice you made and will make again, oh by the way you know Hoover caused the great depression.

700UW you are either smoking something or just a shell for the Democrats. Bush didn't have anything to do with the recession that started in 1999 (as a reminder, Clinton was President then). The cyclical economic cycle that started this downturn (and lost jobs) began long before those fools in Florida began counting hanging chads. I suggest you revisit high school economics. If anyone is to blame for lost jobs - blame BJ Bill Clinton!

Lets see, record surplus under Clinton, low unemployment, Bull Stock market, maybe you are the one who has been smoking.

And this is just for you 628AU
