It doesn't fit his narrative.
Ask why the iam at ua allowed the 'immediate' closure of indy putting everyone on no paid leave.  Ask him about how ua closed the oak maintenance base without a whimper from the iam.
Ask why the ua M&R dumped the iam.
DOH!
I would ask him. But he hasn't addressed the question about the IAM losing the most jobs after dominating the industry.
Thanks for reminding us about about indy and oak....
But it probably means nothing to overspeed. What AMFA does and doesn't do is all that concerns the TWU cheerleader.

"AMFA is not the major issue. The major issue is the labor movement itself."

A TWU member quote...guess who.

"The addition of American Airline mechanics will continue to give AMFA the momentum it needs to reach its goal of uniting all the mechanics in the industry."

Another great quote

"I would hope that AMFA seeks out alliances with other unions - especially democratic, accountable unions."

Guess...

"The opportunity for success at AFW is based on what we choose to do. We each have to take responsibility for developing solutions instead of dwelling on problems. We need to focus on our future and not our past."

This one is good

"XXX's continued insistence on ignoring their excessive outsourcing damages the already strained relationship with XXX maintenance employees."

Overspeed

"TWU Good - AMFA Bad"
"Democrat Good - Republican Bad"
"Status Quo Good - Change Bad"
"The Big I (you) Good - Everyone else Bad"

All the while you are going down the tubes along with the rest of us, and all you offer is more of the same fear mongering stay the course ignorance. I'm not following you, supporting you, and even have become intolerant of you. You are a waste of my time and my energy. I can stand on my own with God, My Skill, My ability, and my ethics. I don't really need you or the TWU or the IAM, or even AMFA for that matter.

"UAL's continued insistence on ignoring their excessive outsourcing damages the already strained relationship with UAL maintenance employees," AMFA Local 9 President Joseph Prisco said in a statement. In the statement, Prisco, whose union represents more than half of United's mechanics, said that since 2001 the number of "mechanics and related staff" has dropped from 15,000 to 5,600.

At UAL it started with the IAM and ended with AMFA. UAL members ousted AMFA and in came the IBT.

In a membership drive two years ago, AMFA signed up 9,274 American mechanics, 57 authorization cards short of the 9,331 needed to hold a union representation election.

"AMFA is not the major issue. The major issue is the labor movement itself," said Chuck Schalk, an American mechanic at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and a member of TWU Local 562.

Blaming the members...? Chuck, tisk, tisk.

"I would hope that AMFA seeks out alliances with other unions - especially democratic, accountable unions."

"The addition of American Airline mechanics will continue to give AMFA the momentum it needs to reach its goal of uniting all the mechanics in the industry."

591 Treasurer Owens excited about getting AMFA in at AA during 2004 drive that failed. Apparently the TWU is very forgiving.

The members elected him. Unlike those Int'l appointments members have no say in.

Blaming the "labor movement" is a far cry from blaming the membership.
The membership has no say in the direction of the labor movement.
We are told what has been decided for us, and where we are going.
You are so desperate, blind, and ignorant. I would bet you are directly associated with the problem and being paid by the problem.

Or they water boarded your ass with Kool-Aid

WHO IS THE "Forgiving TWU" in your mind?

At least you confirm that the AMFA goal is to unite all mechaincs in the industry into one craft union. Hasn't been tried so could not possibly have failed. We have damn sure been trying your way for the last 50 years and results are beyond dismal and an embarassment to us all.
