Industrial vs. Craft

Having the support of the base without AFW and the line gets you nowhere. If you want an election, there is an option but it is not with the Reamsters.

Umm I could say the same about the Base, there are way more people in Tulsa than at the line stations so if you don't have the support of the base you can't get to an Election & you know that.

Raptorman, can you give a few examples of what gains the teamsters have made in our profession to favor them over other unions. Thanks.

Tulsa has the numbers & their mostly all in one place so the line stations need Tulsa's support way more than Tulsa needs the line stations ..... It is what it is.

If AMFA has a black eye, the twu and ibt have a broken nose, 2 black eyes and a busted jaw. AMFA is doing a lot better than the other 2, that's for sure.

Exactly correct....

... and so admitting that you know that do you still claim that you have no intention of falling prey to their plan?
Really?

ROFL

It appears to me that you are the master player to insure we all fall prey to their plan.

No sir I cannot, sometimes it's not about which Union is the better Union, sometimes it's about which Union can get enough cards to get to an Election, I just don't believe AMFA can get enough cards to get to an Election now, they have tried several times over the years, during their peak in 2003 I believe we had enough cards but it took about 10 months & the TWU & AA still beat them out of an Election, from what I'm seeing AMFA is not as popular at the Tulsa base as they were in 2003 so I don't believe it will happen again unfortunately, I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am, I'm fine with either AMFA or the Teamsters but the TWU needs to go.

That drive went from 1998 to 2003 five years not 10 months.
Might have been a short 10 months for you but is was 5 years from where I was sitting.

So what!

Dave i'm not buying that their in league with each other & that this drive is not real, I think that the Teamsters are raiding not just the TWU but IAM and AMFA as well, Google search it & you will find this to be the case, their out to be the biggest most powerful Union on the block which they already are but they want more, their changing their ways & thats why they got out of the afl-cio so they could aggressively aquire more members, their way bigger than AMFA, TWU, or IAM , I personally don't care about that but I do care about the fact that they are so popular at the Tulsa base & therefor have the best chance of getting enough cards to get to an Election.

This is there document not mine....

This past week, representatives of the IBT and TWU met in Washington, do discuss areas of mutual interest. The following joint statement was released:
The Teamsters Airline Division has had a relationship with the Transport Workers Union Air Transport Division for some time now. Between our two Unions, we represent roughly 30,000 in the Aircraft Maintenance and related Class and Craft.

Umm Wow ! I didn't know that, that makes it even worse, we don't have 5 years to get enough cards, we need to get enough cards within a year & I think that the Teamsters might be able to accomplish that unless AMFA & the Teamsters get in a war in which case they might not get enough cards & we will be stuck with the TWU.

I plan on making it perfectly clear without hesitation "The Trouble with the Teamsters"

How many times must you be told the line AMT's will NOT sign Teamsters cards?

We try to communicate with you like an adult but you keep burying your head in the sand and refuse to listen.
And you wonder why folks here start treating you like crap, well now you know.

Soften up the Hard head a little and listen to what is being said.

Since you are advocating a line versus base divide, and how Tulsa is going to choose all of our representation for us, you won't mind a separate contract for just Tulsa then?

No i'm not advocating a line versus Tulsa base divide it is the line stations who have made it clear to me that they are not interested in compromising with Tulsa by signing both cards, I suggested a compromise by everyone signing both cards but some line station represenatives & I won't mention names told me that the Line stations were not interested in a compromise so it is the line who has made it a Tulsa vs the Line stations contest not me & I would have no problem with seperate contracts but unfortunately it doesn't work that way, with the contracts were all in it together even with the other 6 work groups ..... UGH !!

And so I ask you again, who is falling prey to their plan?
