If you think we can get a better deal than this from arbitration then you need to call or e-mail a committee member or your ALR and get informed.
They have direct advice from our labor lawyers and have been involved in this from the beginning.
They have said we will not see a better deal and they can explain why.

If it goes to arbitration and we get 4 years there, would you vote to accept it then?

Or are you only going to agree to the nuclear option of not voting in a JCBA and keeping the contracts separate?

You are not going to see a deal with an 8 year bump, so what (if anything) will you vote for?

I am just trying to see where you are coming from.

I would rather see the arbitrator give us the 4 years and us keep the loa. The loa is the only thing that the lower seniority guys have that helps them with this. Every AT guy comes in topped out and gets seniority on them. I feel every SWA mechanic contributes to this company and if this is voted in, we are saying they are just useless baggage and they don't matter

SWAMT-- if you want to hear some NO votes talk with guys on the East and West coast! Also as far as that Meeting went in MCO BWI with the SWA guys it was a meet and greet with Suckhole and T-COCK. Basically telling them the Cock is new sheriff in town and that he won't be backfilling spots with OT cause guys call in floater at last minute and also saying that those guys are basically f@cking their buddy. Also he told them that he was going to take care of his guys!!!! Meaning AT employees!! A one sided cock!! I give him 2 years to before let go!! He is NOT SWA material!!!

I don't want to hear NO votes. I would prefer YES votes. However, I will not tell anyone how to vote. I know you know this. But, I do not have access to talks with mechs on the East and West coast. Do you have any more info or input on why they are NO votes? Is it only b/c they are low seniority? Or do they have very good scenarios?
I totally agree with you on the T-cock scenario. I have always said he will be gone within 5 years. And it will all be brought on by himself--as ussual, right?

When it's push time and the planes aren't finished, let him answer for that.

SWAMT- they are no votes because they feel we should get more, and I agree with them 100%!!! But I'm also being smart about this and in my opinion we will not get better and good chance get less time. Our LOA in my opinion will get thrown out in federal court. So that's why I'm a yes vote as feel it will be best for our junior mechanics, but wish our latest new hires would also get the 4 year bump as they are original SWA mechanics!!!!! I agree with you on T-Cock!!

Lineguy-- I hope our east coast mechanics shove it up his @ss!!! Those guys and all our mechanics for that matter need to remember we have the power!!! If you know what I mean.

I agree. I too think the 4 yrs is low. However it was the lowest I was willing to go. What these guys need to think about is this. If this vote is rejected, it's off to arbitration correct? What will the number be if we do go to arbitration? From what I was told it will be 4. If AMFA is going into it with 4, then all a no vote really does is delay this crap for however many years it gets delayed. Just to find out we'll more than likely get 4 yrs thru an arbitrator, or less than 4 yrs. And that's if we get any seniority enhancement at all. An arbitrator could very well come out with dovetailed DOH for all.
One more thing, I too wish the seniority enhancement would be applied to all SWA mechanics regardless of starting date.

Please enlighten us who are in the dark as to who this mysterious T-Cack character is.

With your vast knowledge of the negotiations, and the arbitration process, I have to ask myself?? why arent you on the negotiation committee ?? are you even a rep??? out of the woodwork people come running, now that we have a t/a that is reasonable. Where were you when we were discussing this earlier??

Does it really matter who I am? I'm just stating how it works out with 4 years or DOH. There really is not much of a difference. I would rather go to arbitration as of right now after hearing the dispatchers results. 4 years is crap.

The first offer was not even worth putting to vote.

My bad you obviously know everything. I'll try to remember not to speak when you are present.

Maybe I'll change my mind after the road show...

Like I said... I would like to hear what valid points we have going against SWA.

The fact that you somehow misconstrued my post , into wanting to know who you are shows your intelligence. My point was, and is, do you volunteer any time with the union as a rep, an observer, anything? Do you call your reps with questions? or do you just sit, wait, and then #### when its not what you deem "fair" Come on man you have seven post's, why havent you voiced any opinions until now, a year and a half later? I fully understand the pro's and con's of this deal, I also spoke with my reps throughout this negotiation, and with AMFA legal in regards to the potential scenarios. If 4 is crap , then just be forwarned, arbitration may bring you a dirty sanchez....then again it may not? Try being a little more involved before you come in here guns blazing about what should be.... If AT votes it down and we arbitrate , so be it, I think we will be in a better position for arbitration, and the LOA will be in place. Anyway Im glad your on now because its always good to get other points of view, thanks for posting up.

The first TA was only put to vote because the two unions had reached an impass. Negotiating with a union that had previously been removed from its position, is like trying to get blood from a turnip.... IBT wouldnt even accept our withdrawl cards, if you remember. Or were you here for that debacle?
