It's not a one way street, yes we have put ourselves in swa shoes and thought about what is fair and equitable, this is topic has gone and on, pros and cons. To be honest, it's getting old on this topic. No matter what the final outcome will be with the unions and company, you can not make everybody happy, it's impossible.

There still is no written letter from amfa stating on what they proposed to at, just a verbal. I guess there waiting to see what happens with amfa negoatations with horizon air on the 15th.

Where was all this a few months ago?? Obviously you guys are against me because I want a better deal for the AirTran guys and are all using this opportunity to attack me seeing as 'you got me right where you went me'

I already told you, only reason I posted those comments 'spineless' even 'cowardly' was because I wanted the person that made that login to resurface under this SWA ID and lineguy has been the one to do so. No one seems to acknowledge that statement, no one seems to acknowledge the fact that I put a different perspective on it and and looking at a different perspective. Ever since I made the thanking everyone thread, there seemed to have been an influx of "SWA" mechs on here trying to pound my voice until I stop posting. Really, this could be one SWA mechanic with multiple logins, we don't know.

To answer the only person that has remotely shocked me on here by joining the bandwagon, SWAMT, I thought I did reply to your post way back when. Because I specially thought I posted that I don't fall in the range of your theroy. First, I never posted my seniority on any post, second, if a 4 year boost didn't effect me profoundly, then I'm either a highly senior mechanic or a very lower senior mechanic. Either way, I can assure you that my minimums are not a direct effect to my seniority. I gave my reasons log ago for the 30% and you'd agreed to my logic behind it. I simply said that a hit in AT seniority would be a greater impact that a boost in SWA seniority and have posted a scale, long ago, showing the difference....

To the rest of the misfits who think they have some sort of superiority complex over me, down to analyzing my avatar, you guys have joined in a successful alliance to insult me together and are trying to shut up the only voice of opposition on this forum. Well, you can have it!! This forum is all yours, I'll let the kids run a muck on here spreading their oh so valuable information and look forward to their contributional posts towards a better CBA once this is done and over with. Some form of language that benefits the whole and not themselves. Oh, and to answer your avatar question, it was meant for the children on this sites entertainment. Glad to see another 49er(as in the amount of NO votes) And I appreciate all your hard work with trying to only state what is fact and fiction. As far as agreeing with you on the 30% boost/cut in seniority I can't do that. And to atmech01 you said that we are loosing alot of money every day we don't have an agreement well you're wrong you can't loose what you didn't have in the first place.

Like I said I would do. I appologize for mixing you up with another AT poster. I could have sworn you were around the same senority as I. It probably was someone else.
In one of your post you say after some MCO mechanics (I think) talked with you in detail about the current offer coming your way from AMFA. You stated that an AT guy asked you "what you would have done years ago if SWA approached you." I believe that was the only reason you posted. After going back and re-reading, several times, it really sounds like you wanted to tell more. Was there other reasons you have started to lean towards the current offer? Just sounds like there may have been more to it when I read it. If you don't want to state your reasons or explain any further, no prob, I would understand.

This is for everybody. Guys I don't think it was sent over yet (offer). We were told you all should have had it last week. They are waiting for some final fine tuning of the language (from the company) in order to send it out. With the delay as long as it has been tells me one thing; the company may have not put in writing everything we have heard they were going to be putting in writing. I hope this is not true and I hope you guys will be getting it early this week. It is coming...

I agree atmech01 is a fake. He is giving the impression of being an AirTran mech. It would be safe to say he knows nothing about AirTran current MX operations.

As much as you HATE to get involved with this union crap; It's your livelyhood and future here. Get a clue man. Get involved. Your one of those guys that never goto meetings, never observe nego, never volenteer for anything, never vote on anything and then whine, ####, moan and carry on like a child when the vote doesn't go your way. You need to scroll back thru all these postings and get your update. I'm not repeating it here, especially for someone who "hates to get involved in all this union crap stuff."

swamt- maybe he was talking about this damn bickering on here. Maybe he is one of the guys/girls who are unable to attend meetings, or maybe he is one of the many new hires that just made probation. Either way I don't see how talking down to him is going to inform him and or encourage him to get involved. This site is getting out of control and we are starting to argue amongst ourselves! Anyway SWA 78 we are basically right where we were a few months ago. We gave a verbal option to AT/IBT they are now waiting for it to be an official letter with the offer. We are waiting for the company to agree on some items before we send the official letter. This letter might have been sent out by now but I'm unaware as I'm on vacation. So that's basically where we are at. Please go back about a month on this thread and read the info and you will be pretty much coughs up. Anyway I hope this helps.

If the 4 year offer is truely is our bottom number, then would that make it our last and final offer? Why don't we send the offer out for our membership to vote on and if tha IBT refuses to send it out for a vote thats their fault. Will the mediator will take that into account in arbitration?
