Funny DL F/As are independent now and you're suggesting they join. A money sucking national industrial union will make them more independent? Where do your campaign officials come up with this stuff? Seriously I must be giving them too much credit.

Really lets see in the past 2 years DL has gotten a max of 6% raises, on DOS the IAM/US Fleet will get a 9.53% raise on DOS and another 3% in September, so in two months the US fleet will have gotten more than what DL has given out in the same time period.

And if you even go three years, that is 9% max at DL.
And they STILL don't make as much as DL employee's!

The banks have gotten out of hand with all their fees.  Now days if you use a live person they will charge you fees.  And if you don't use direct deposite they will charge you.  Anyone ever heard of free checks, no longer exist and on and on with the banking fees and charges the banks will continue to jib and jab at the general public...

and if banks make so much money that they become so much better investment than other investments, then it makes sense for consumers to invest in banks.

and even without personal investments in the industry, if the services banks offer become too expensive, then other alternatives will emerge and are available.

just help me understand why someone in this day and age still wants to receive a paper paycheck instead of a direct deposit?

i have direct deposit but some companies dont..  my mother has a pension from a hospital she works at but it is not nor ever has been set up by that company's hospital for direct deposit..  but her delta portion is direct deposit.   sorry WT but I do not care for banks treatment of the American people  they have hammered the peeps for so long

not saying you should or excusing the service that some big companies provide.

that said, if banks are really that profitable, then consumers should buy stock in them.

in reality, they aren't necessarily huge profitable and the reason why banks are willing to offer free banking for people who use direct deposit is because they know there is income coming into the account on a regular basis and most of the services are operated.

BTW, free banking of any kind is not the norm or even available to many consumers in a number of parts of the world, even in developed countries.

I think one of the reasons are that the bad guys are changing with the new technology moves since most america is doing the same.  The old fashion paper check is probably more secure now days than the electronic banking everyone seems to be doing.  Also, with all the electronic banking, when was the last time we heard of someone getting their checks duplicated and ID theft from checks?  I haven't seen it on the news for some time now.  Hear about credit cards and electronic thefts.  Don't hear any paper thefts as of lately, and I mean years.
BTW, robbed had it correct jp is one of the worst just as Capitol one.  But as we all can see the banking fees are a highway robbery that only pokes at cents and dollars between their billions upon billions of customers that end up looking like billions but not so large to each and every customer.  When will the gov step in and control the fees from our banks.

Pretty sure I red you like a book :)
My father is also receiving a pension from a very large institution and is not set up electronically (my ole man is very old school)
I also think the banks treatment of American people is spreading thru-out America at all businesses. Customer service is lacking at 90% of all businesses in my opinion.

paper check fraud very much does happen.

It is a whole lot harder to engage in electronic fraud in financial transfers.

OTOH, the US is one of the few countries in the world that does not routinely use credit and debit cards with microchips which dramatically increases the risk for card fraud.

you sure did read me like a book bro.  yes I definitely agree JP and Cap One and Ill throw in BOA are the worst offenders..
WT  I have heard that some companies within the next 3 or so yrs (forget the yrs) are suppose to begin getting new cards with the micro chips  Supposenly it cld start next yr and this was on the news right after Target and Michaels' got hit with the card hacking last holiday season
