just a little side note . for the jesters and freedoms of the world. If you read the latest press from Canale,

alot will ring familiar with what Tim has been saying for months. So you want to fight him and think it's only his

opinion well that's fine. But it seems to me maybe the guy might just know a little more about this thing then you

want to give him credit for.

Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't you one of the advocates for the outsourcing language? The sacrifice the few in favor the many type of thing. IMO it WILL be the last T/A with a few changes.


Remember kids, the last TA contained language getting rid of the Profit Sharing we will be receiving in March. Will it make up for the lost wages we gave up? No, but it was not fair to give up something we had worked so hard for and still be taking it in the shorts wage-wise.

Why I ask oh WHY should we play fair when there are so many UNFAIR things that we can do , has this company been fair to ANY of us ? I ask you , why should we return the favor ???????? Get your head out of DP’s ass …..

I have an idea for a new moto when people think of us airways , it’ll; go something like this

Hi we’re US AIRWAYS , go #### yourself … I like the ring of that one don’t you ?

You know we have not seen eye to eye on many issues but I am a trade unionist.

And if you remember back years ago I spoke up to a full Communications Conference on how the IAM and DL 141 failed the ramp and it was inexcusable that they never reached a TA from 1995 till 1999. I believe it was 1996 or 97 when this occured in MCO.

Our local caught a lot of flack for myself and ST who spoke up for Fleet and made Buffy get on Canale for the lack of a first CBA.

O man , I think your too out there , your hopes and expectations are too high , the 1970’s are not coming back , the vast majority of FS knows this … except maybe you …. Tims rantings against the union are somewhat productive , but I’d much rather he start a fire under the COMPANY more so than the union …

You guys don’t know this company like those of us here in PHX , this is America West running the show , same game different name …. Their first and most favorite tactic is to stall , stall as long as humanly possible and then when it’s time to finally sit down and work something out , they feel that by stalling for as long as they could that they have weakened the resolve of the other side … weakened the resolve of the union members , the union leaders …

Well we KNOW your playbook and I got news for HQ , hommie don’t play that game no MO …

I personally dislike making our customers suffer , I don’t want to see it happen , I pray it won’t , but if it must come to pass , then let what must be happen ….

I didn't intend to imply or not imply anything other than your company's intentions 'are' clear at this point....not to transition but to avoid section 6 and wait till 2010, and throw disrespect and insults to IAM members through its goofy proposals. This last contract offer given by Hemmingway has enraged rage, IMO. Imagine that, i.e., enraging rage itself.

The company plan is now clear and section 6 MUST happen for the west [and this will benefit the east also].

As for your other mentionings, I have personal opinion on the matter that I do not wish to share publically.

I guess you dont realize your Labor Relations deparment is headed up Easties and his east cronies.

We have dealt with them a lot longer than the west.
 
Face it kids... With this lousy regime that the Missing In Action group has given us, we will next be offered $18 and no increases to our vacations, holidays or better sick time rules. I know a few of these guys and know they are only in it for the cash from our dues.

I am sick and tired of hearing how the union needs to build membership. I truly believe you will build membership a lot easier when you prove to potential members that you can service the contract also.

All I see is Cannoli worried about the job he does not do. The district is based less than 5 miles from my airport and most of the members in my breakroom have never seen him. He is a faceless, ghost of a leader. (retch) Sorry I threw up a little in my mouth at the thought of using the word leader and Cannoli in the same sentence.

You make a good point . But what D.P needs to remember he is not dealing with a workforce that is pro management

alot of the reason's doug and his crew run over the workers is because the workers out west aloud that to happen

over the years. I must admit I have never in my 24 yrs have ever heard of a union rally that involved management Obviously this all new to you that's fine but unfortunately it takes time to get management to
understand that the workforce is not going to let them dictate to us what we all deserve.

Everybody slow down, rationalize the situation. They only went to the desert once, it will take many more trips. " cheap suites " and "big cheeks " aren't going to come to an agreement so fast, they have to
play out the story line. Only and only if they get pressure from 'big daddy" Tilton will things move faster.

Well I doubt the company will offer anything to Fleet, time for Randy to file mediation and restart Section 6 for the West.

Hemenway is a jerk, I know first hand, start calling him "No Value Al", every time I brought up something they wanted, he stated, "that has no value" but our actuaries proved different.

I hate to say this but you are all in for a long and tough battle, time to hunker down and take them and tell you Negotiating Committee what you want and demand it from the Company.

And PJ, it is apparent you have never been in negotiations, you cant make one side agree to something they have no intention of, you are not bargaining in traditional negotiations, you have no threat of a strike and no leverage against them.

I have dealt with those currently in labor relations and they are a bunch of something I cant say on the boards.

This may come to bite me but....I agree with you.

"No value Al Hemminhaw" has a long 'glorious' history with US Airways...the West is getting a taste of what he is like. Even with some Westies on the team I wouldn't hold my breath - his name is all over the current East agreement and his hands are taking it right out of the pockets of the employees.
 
Don't overreact to the company's proposal. The company needs a transition and it has plenty of money to get it done and is willing to get it done. A few more negotiations and $20 will get it passed. There aren't going to be any section 6 negotiations. Thank your solidarity when it happens, no thanks to Randy who told all of us in PHL that your last contract was the best you could expect.

PHL is together and will do its part in voting out Randy.
