Ask the NMB, it is Mechanic and Related that is how it is certified, and they perform work all related to each other, that is why the NMB certified it the way it is.

The reason the mechanic & related are classified together can be traced back to the IAM's arguements over 30 years ago!! During the NMB class and craft hearings at UAL, the IAM lobbied the NMB to maintain the current class and craft set-up. Heck, at one point Ken Theide proclaimed that a baggage handlers work is directly related to that of a mechanic :huh: W-T-F?????? Oh right......safety in numbers <_<

WTF, no kidding E-Trons. Stock clerks, utility do not related to maintenance. They are a SUPPORT group to maintenance. But I guess if you'd want to stretch it really way out there..........the janitorial staff supports maintenance by cleaning the johns and refilling the a$$ wipe........cuz if that didn't happen, you'd have a bunch of shi**y pants mechanics. LOL

And that's correct..........numbers and dues ONLY. NOT RELATED. The NMB may have certified it that way BUT the NMB can DECERTIFY also. And that's what's scaring 700. He won't be able to associate himself, and it's only by contract title, with the mechanics.

Time for reality to set it for everyone.

I'am not with the I.A.M. in anyway other than a member.I was not spewing hot air but mearly what I thought.Its ok that you don't agree.

You all act like a bunch of women,insulting and calling names, seems like kindergarden tatics,and not just you but many others.

Seems like with 'you all' it is the hell with everyone but me, and what I think.

If the I.B.T is certified as our union , then I will support them. I will listen to all the information I can until I decide wich is the better union,and it wont be decided by insults or name calling ,but by facts.

I' like for someone to list all the reasons why I.B.T. is better for me and my family.Not 5 reasons but 25.

I'd also like someone to list 25 reasons why the I.A.M. is better.

Lets try to have a intelligente debate, with out getting upset or insulting,so all of us can make a informed decision about which way to vote.

I need facts,lots of them. Because to me this is a very important decision.

I believe many of us haven't totaly decided about this vote, unlike most of you who seem to be sure one way or the other.
