Will and arbitrator undo what another arbitrator did?
Don't think so.
Thats an interesting position for an APA pilot to take considering what is ahead for our pilot groups.
As it stands NIC list is an unused piece of paper, however if it does get tossed into this new merger it sets several standards which may be hard to avoid. One being that every APA furloughed pilot as of right now is automatically moved to the bottom of the list (including under the airways pilots hired last week) and any slotting that may be used in the coming SLI will be affected by that.
The end result we have right now in the published NIC list is USAirways junior 330 Capt. who was hired in 1981 shows junior to 32 AWA pilots. AWA did not even exist in 1981, they did not come to be until 1983.
How many APA pilots are currently on furlough? And what were their hire years?
The other odd part to buy coming from an APA pilot is the fact that you seem to not be concerned with the fact that under NIC AWA pilots hired in 2000 to 2002 will be moving into slots that will be adjacent to APA guys hired in the mid 80's. Quite the age difference there that no fence can protect you from.
