Heard fleet got a slice of pie in CLT from the company since they don't get profit sharing....tell me that aint true....

Phx had some good pie too, I had my share of slices. Does AA ramp get profit sharing under the TWU contract?

That's what I heard from one of my friends still working. This is beyond anything I've heard of.

Don't know how to post up a link but a song dedication comes to mind. From 1975 Adv.white band 'Cut the cake" roflmao.

When are they voting on it

Ballots are being sent right now. Most people closest to Chicago have already received them. I (live in NJ) and a lot of people should be getting them soon. They extended the date the ballots must be in. Mar. 25 is the deadline date. The company needs this done by April so they can integrate for the summer schedule, and set up a new bid. That means we only have a couple of days to read the hard copy of the TA along with the ballot and the strike vote ballot. The funny thing is that we don't need a couple of days to read this garbage. I will be be voting NO and YES to strike. This contract does nothing for us, especially on the sCO side. sUA was fighting for retro. But they didn't get it from the company. The company game the IAM a 130 million dollar "Signing Bonus" which is explicitly stated in LOA #5. So most are thinking that the payment should be distributed equally amongst the two subs. But the District is trying to dress this up as a retro payment and will give sCO a 1% payment (for BTW) and a 3% payment (for ATW)

Among other things which will take way too long to go thru, this contract should not and will not pass. This TA takes the worst aspects of FTW; IBT; and IAM contracts. Go back to the table.

Amen to that. Hopefully the membership will say what the District didn't have the insight or courage to say...Hell No!

yesterday fort lauderdale ramp got pie and juice from the company in place of profit sharing
The company's response to profit sharing... let them eat pie / cake. Sound familiar? Let's keep in mind though... profit sharing was given up by the past IAM Leadership in negotiations for "Double Time" overtime premium on second day off as I recall. As a result; some members in the larger stations have reaped the benefits of double time, which in the end, exceed any profit sharing check. Unfortunately, the majority of the membership, as a result of the agreement, are served a slice of pie. They served it in my station. It was the most expensive piece of pie I have ever been served.

towbar i dont blame you for voting no to the ta and yes to the strike its pathetic from what i hear though im with us im sure that us is watching you guys' vote very closely and as you said send it back to the table with a resounding no vote and a strike authorization bec if that ta passes... guaranteed that thousands of folks be tossed out once the 7 hubs are filled in

orgac supposenly frank is to let me know today about the meeting that the company n the lawyers are doing in phx today... well here is it after 8p est and nothing yet..... yet.....yet though frank sent me a text earlier that he has not gotten a call.. sound familiar as far as im concerned itll be in the future if and only if the union comes back and answers my case... like you said before it should be done faster

robbedagain,
So how much time has been lost allowing the company and lawyers to review the case in the hopes of a settlement offer prior to mediation or arbitration. Again... I don't see this step in the grievance procedure outlined in the contract.

I NEVER SAW IT OUTLINED EITHER IN THE 08 CONTRACT ORGAC BUT ITS JUST MIND BOGGLIN HOW MUCH TIME IS SPENT OR WASTED AS I SAY
