F/A transition agreement reached

look how many other things they disregarded that were agreed to and signed. That includes out of BK as well. I think the pegasus project through the AFA paying for the rooms is an awesome idea. They agreed to this mess and should pay for it. Lets get the collections started. I'm sure between East and West we can get the money together to help our brothers and sisters out.

Yes the company can offer to pay for the rooms, it is not against the TA.

The letter she sent to Senior management was excellent, professional and she hit every point.

She is going in after it; protecting the INVOLS! Which the entire MEC East should have done initially...at the very least get the hotel rooms paid for during the 7 week training.

sky high states: SEVEN WEEKS? why? Wasnt there a training course in the late 80's?....early 90's? where a group of Eastern F/A's went through a SHORTER COURSE at USAir? They had expediated training in 3 weeks?

Can the company do so now that the TA, and its terms, agreed to and signed?

Anything can be renegotiated and improvements can be made to any agreement.

During 2005 AFTER the concession 3 rafified agreement:

1.Was able to negotiate first sick call of the year to be paid at 100% instead of 70%

2.Term pass usage fexibility while on LTD

3. Increase in medical coverage at "active rate" for 9 months instead of 60 days for unpaid medical leaves.

4. Offering of another VFLR II Program (outside of the 2004 agreement).

Anything is possible. Takes determination, strategy, media coverage.

I wonder if the company will actually budge and pay for the hotels? I wish they would at least do it just to show some compassion.
If they do budge and pay...they will probably do it after the 30th...since most will pass on it, they won't have many rooms to pay for. That would suck!!! Most are passing because they can not afford it. Just the invols luck that they will pass and then the company sees that maybe 50 f/a's took the bait, so then they will pay for the rooms since there won't be many to pay for..is it double occupancy?

Per Inflight Administration in Crystal City, 57 F/A's have faxed in a bid(not sure what they bid) for the AWA jobs.

Pitbull-you are the one that has to check your "facts". We do not work for the same company. My paychecks still say AWA and will until we merge. Our two companies have the same "parent company" and yet we are seperate.

I don't care what you did at MAA-but you are WRONG on this.

If you don't trust me, go ask the FAA yourself, but you are not correct.

At least half of your rantings are based on assumptions not facts.

So before you go telling me that I am wrong, go check it out with the FAA first.

I told you I did...read the post a-gain!

The company chooses not to pay for these expenses.

So Pitbull, what you are kinda saying is that if enough f/a's on furlough at us-east don't take the positions in PHX then the company may have to offer it to active f/a's on the east before hiring outside the co?

It is my understanding that until we are one certificate we can't fly west trips.

Are you saying that if no furloughed F/A takes the AWA offer that they will offer it to the F/A group as a whole?
That any F/A (senior mama) would take the offer, go through the 7 week of unpaid training to be based out of PHX? Bidding at the bottom all because the commute they do twice a month is inconvient?

Or are you saying that they would offer it to the F/A's and they would simply get transfered irregardless of the one certificate needs? That we would go in at same pay, seniority etc as in East?

Do you have any idea what type of trips those senior mamas take to get in their hours. Travel with their friends
to any European destination/carribean destination getting away from their couch potatoe husbands or taking a vacation from their kids.

You think they are hoping for transfers all for the fabulous destinations AWA flys? They can't hold Hawaii due to the senority they would hold.

Most of those senior mamas work the princess schedule of 50 hours per mo and do so as a treat for themselves.

I don't see the large number of F/A's (senior) that are wanting to go back to the west.

Its been years since they relocated (1988) to the East and most won't cross for the reunions we have once a year. They like the deer in their back yards and the hugh houses and hugh life style. They've been smittened by culture.

Someone give me a number as to how many F/A's you estimate that want to transfer.

Most all of my class has retired, quit or moved East. I just don't see the threat ole PSA has on the West any more.

We did a recent pole as to who would move where and it looked like the east/west was even.

The worry here is over nothing.
