That would be funny.. start up a fund for recalled F/As to pay for hotel rooms in PHX for the seven week training. There should be a bulk discount rate. I bet many East and West employees and even customers would be willing to throw in a few dollars that the company or union is too cheap to provide. The best way to fight meanness is with compassion.

Both that and the EMB170 retiremnent party are great ideas. This company needs to be embarrassed by the goodwill of it's own customers and employees.

57..thats not very many. I am sure they sent out atleast 500 letters. I am sure alot of those 57 were passes. I may be wrong..but I am gonna guesstimate around 50 will accept the offer. Anyone else have a guess?

I don't know anyone who thinks this is a good opportunity, and I don't want to waste postage sending my "pass" in. I think your guess of around 50 accepting may be right. I bet a lot of their responses were passes too...Sorry, I love to fly but will not take ANOTHER pay cut make less than I did at MAA (I didn't even think that was possible) Someone's smoking it in Tempe and at our lovely MEC east if they think we can afford hotels in PHX after poverty wages at MAA! They can keep this offer...I can't afford any more of their favors :down:

Let's all hold hands and do a lucky chant for us invols to get called back home to EAST!! I've been hearing anywhere from a year to even just six months on that...can't wait!!!

I was just told that they sent letters out to ALL the furloughees. 1600 letters..WOW!! And only 57 have responded. AWA better start organizing something to hire new hires from the street.
