Absolutely it shouldnt go on, and probably doesnt very much... I was only pointing out that that story about a flight attendant naming thier boat headsets has been making the rounds in the industry for years, so I'd be quite surprised if it has anything to do with US or is even true at all. Its like saying you have a friend who died after drinking a Coke with PopRocks in his mouth... remeber that one?

and all flts that get cancelled "due to crew aval"
Oh yes I do, ...I see it everyday working the phl/clt/pit flts that crews
get bumped off, then run to use the phone....who are they calling there mother!
Then I wonder how many flts will have to be cancelled? because of "crew aval"

and people like you "pitbull" just keep saying your so short staff,

I'd like to say I'm sorry to most crews who do plan in advance and get to bases
but I'm sure everyone knows where I'm coming from.

just thinking if I was a paying pax on that flt

If I was a paying passenger I would be outraged at the companys lack of planning. There should never be a shortage of crew members, especially when the company is claiming there are too many and handing out pink slips. I wonder if the passengers on that flight know how many flight attendants were laid off, and that thier vacation could have been saved?

Unfortunately that is part of business 101.
The highest loss is internal theft at EVERY company.
I am not saying that it is right, but it happens EVERYWHERE.
Did you ever take a paper clip from the office? a pen? tape? How about some liquor as you were taking the cart of the plane? Not saying anyone on here, but the carts are "robbed" as well when the planes are on overnights and between flights.
Let's not throw any stones at anyone or cause the company to dig into anything else that they already know is there...K? :)
 
I take exception to anyone who implies or gives any subjective statements that flight attendants are generally dishonest, either as a joke, conjecture or opinion.

I will say this to those who imply this on these boards..... "it takes a thief, to know a thief".
 
Please keep in mind that when you are on reserve at USAirways you are on call 24 hours a day. The system is absolutely retarded. There are people who have been flying for over 15years who arer still on reserve on international and in January it will go all the way to 1989. Last May reserves all the way to 1999 were given blocks. We were short staffed, our service changed and our flights were full, however, people flew their trips, morale was good on the flights and I bet the sick calls were at an all time low.
Give Flight Attendants blocks so they can have a life instead of having to sit by a telephone in a hotel in Philly 24 hours a day. Blocks could have days when you are oncall to cover irregular operations but there comes a time when you should have a life.
