DL Terminates Labor Activist Kip Hedges

have you or are you willing to give up your job for the cause?

no, you are not.

You aren't standing with anyone.

southwind is absolutely right.

and DL employees not only are far higher paid than their union counterparts at AA but DL without a union has preserved more locations for DL employees - that's called scope - than their unionized airlines have done with a union to "force them".
that is false. Completely and totally false.

Without Union help Delta had less stations than ANY OTHER MAJOR US AIRLINE.

and again you hang on to 7.5 because your statement is only true if you go back that far.

and you still can't accept that DL has retained its stations regardless of union status while AA and UA have cut and WN is fighting for the right to do so.

but let's focus on YOUR job.

how about you tell us where DL has line maintenance vs. other carriers and what they have cut vs what DL has cut and/or added.

Of course I haven't quit. Why? 'Cause the idea that I would-as opposed to staying and trying to accomplish something- is just absurd.

Almost as absurd as the anti-worker crowd howling that they'll all quit when a union is voted in.

the only point, Kevin, is that you aren't really standing with Kip.

You are continuing to push for union issues - and I have never said you shouldn't - but no one who still has their job is in the same boat as Kip.

you get a paycheck.

he doesn't.

it couldn't be any more clear that you are in entirely different boats.

You might support him but you don't really stand with him.

no, it's self-nothing.

He stuck his neck out and paid the price.

You haven't paid that price.

You are a spectator in his campaign.

note again the verb tense:

If he were really worried about getting fired, as you are, he would have used an anonymous message board.

you can use your mastery in languages to help you understand that type of verb construction.

Hows not being in a union working for you?

WN has higher pay, more paid time and higher 401K match...........
Actually, pretty good. Been through the bad times and will now enjoy the good times.
There will always be someone making more or making less.... Unless you believe in some type of socialist pay rate, where mechanics all make the same, no matter where they are employed.

Put an app in at WN.

So basically, WT, you can laugh and make jokes about how things are at airlines doing worse than you but when someone points out those who do better its
"well that the industry, put in an app there"

Boy what a shocking answer.

Once again, not talking about 7.5, I am talking about pre-merger Delta and pre-merger American.

And you deflect back to "your a mechanic don't talk about the ramp" Okay, I'll play.

Why don't you focus on your job and

errr.....not talk I guess.

and the cuts on the ramp happened in 7.5.

other carriers cut elsewhere.

My question is why you feel a need to talk about the ramp instead of what is going on with your own department.

I have a feeling that a big part of the reason is because DL compares pretty favorably AND your coworkers aren't interested in anywhere close to the numbers to even bother printing cards.
