Democracy In Action

You really need to get a grip and get your facts in order.

1) You seem to have an interesting little perspective of what you believe as the truth. Seriously, as I said earlier, if I was interested in a management position - I am sure I could have interviewed and gone into management. As for Rusty Prewitt, I did not interview for the management position that he took...nice attempt at spinning your story to fit your need however, you are once again completely wrong and have once again failed!

You did interview for management. You also interviewed for a position in finance. Why did you get a degree in Finance? Was it to better yourself as a TWU officer...really? I think you got too close to the consultants and wanted that for yourself. Not a spin.

Face it, you buddied up to Don V, Bobby, and Jim when you were there. You didn't talk smack until you were on the outside. You thought you were going to hit it big with your degree and when that didn't pan out you decided you would run for President again. You are out for you and you alone.

Underspeed you seem to have an axe to grind with Peterson and probably should do so in person as to where you two should work out your differences. This forum has been helping him tremendously since you guys have been attacking him. The more mud from the ilk such as yourself keeps sending more people to him and he seems to handle your accusations which appear at this time to be nothing more than that.

Uh, yeah. Right.

And I got word that the Local 564 President sent out a letter endorsing Keith. I heard in the letter he even goes as far as to say to ask each candidate if he interviewed for management and if they say yes, don't vote for them. Why would another local president insinuate that if it wasn't true?

Trying to see if I can get a copy of the letters from 567 and 564.

You speak of hearsay and unless you can prove it that is all that it will remain.

Here is one. Once the other comes from my 564 contact I will upload.

I hear the crow catching in your throat...
That doesn't prove anything it merely says something, big deal. I guess if someone were to print things about you that would make it true, no?

Yes, you must be right...

Gary wrote all kinds of things too that are unsubstantiated but apparently, those things are all true. Okay, right. Got it.

Because you really are ignorant and from what have read, I believe most on here have had enough of your childish behavior, I will respond just one more time.

I received my degree in 2009, over three years after I left my union position. No, I did not get my degree "to be a better TWU officer", quite the contrary - I did it because I have seen AA & the TWU International screw this membership since I hired on in the 1990's. I went back and received my degree, a Bachelors of Science in Business with a minor in Finance, in case I wind up on the street again, since I am only 42 years old. I am not real familiar with the AA finance department but, you seem to be. So let me ask you this question....what does AA require as a minimum in their hiring of someone in Finance, lets just say in an entry level position like an analyst? My guess is they require a minimum of a Bachelors Degree and since I did not get mine until 2009, your BS story and timeline do not line up again - nice try champ!

For the record, Rusty Prewitt took his first management position in the AA MRO department..not Finance as you seem to be so fixated on. He took that position before I received my degree. Even though Rusty Prewitt is in management, he like me has never worked in the finance department...so he did not get the "job I interviewed for", as you so eliquently wrote. He has held two positions in HR since and NO, I did not interview for either of those positions.

As for the International...none of those you mentioned can stand me and the thought of me being elected is revolting to them, that is what I enjoy hearing most! I stand for the membership, remember I am forced to be a member of the TWU like everyone else, except for Dan Cunningham the highest paid Crew Chief at AA thanks to former TWU International President Sonny Hall. Sonny was so in touch with the AA labor agreement he fired Dan from the union, thinking he would be terminated by AA...instead he failed, just like you and Dan gets union representation for free.

So once again your stories, accusations, and timeline do not add up...and now I am truly done with you!

Have a nice day!

Not me Bob, you know me better then that.

By the way, do you ever wonder why I am the only one in the Local 565 election the "TEAM TWU" chose to attack?
Sounds like the same game that have been played in elections throughout the system, whenever someone who is
Anti-International enters the ring! I be damned if I am going down without a fight!

While my election didnt have the Mudslinging this one does I faced some slick tricks that I believe were orchestrated by the International. Its clear to me that Overspeded is acting on the Internationals behalf.

In the last local 562 Election the week the ballotts went out a team of Local Presidents, some of whom later got International spots, and a "hanger on(Luis, Gilboy, Gibbs and Griffith): came to JFK where they held meetings in the breakrooms telling the members they were at a "critical stage in negotiations" and didnt need any new faces there. Gilboy described Zimmerman, who had just been elected a few months earlier and refused to go to JFK as "A deer in the headlights". They told the guys that Tulsa was on board with the line guys and Luis said he was committed to make sure the line didnt get sold out again but it was important that they keep the committee intact. It made quite an impression, nobody had ever seen that before, the vote was close.

Basically Iulianno ran on his experience (and the plug from the other Presidents) and I ran on structural changes such as going with technology, keeping the members informed and trying to make structural changes at the International level. I think I've been pretty good at sharing information and keeping the guys informed, I've used technolgy such as using OOVOO instead of flying guys in for EB meetings, the Local we rent from has since done the same thing. Neither of us made grand promises on the contract because we both know that is not something we can decide on our own. I figured we would once again get a shabby deal ramed through by Tulsa but thankfully it didnt work out that way because the company went way too far with the concessions. We failed to make the changes we wanted at the Convention but did get to meet other like minded delegates for the next one. We also didnt get to taking the local on-line which I feel is essential to increase participation and to future consolidation.

My only advice to all you guys is dont spend too much time trashing each other, I think your members know nobody is perfect, they want to know what you guys plan to do to help them get their needs met. Hopefully, who ever they choose is honest enough to try and keep their promises, better off not to make any than not try and keep them, feels just as honored by the priviledge they've been given after they get the job as they did when they sought it and doesnt change once they get the spot like we have seen many times in the past. Nothing disgusts me more than when I hear a President talk badly about the membership he is supposed to serve, if he thinks that bably of them how can we expect that he truly is willing to fight for them? How can anyone claim this is a thankless job? Trying? Yes. Challenging ? Yes Fustrating? Yes. But we are given a conditional priviledge and its up to us to live up to what we said we aspired to. That, and the salary etc is the thanks thats given and it should be enough.

Seriously? Done? That's awesome.

Fact is you interviewed twice once for MRO and the other for Finance. Letter going around 564 from their President says you did interview for management. Is JR who marches around with Bob Owens telling us they are the truth tellers a liar? Really? Gary you got some 'splaining to do...

Get over yourself. If you can't cop to that you put in for management and are even married to ex-AA senior management (probably still connected to the high cabal), then you are not trustworthy. Nuf said!

Again Bob, you blame everyone but yourself. If you go in to fight against a group that is better organized than you, has better resources, and more backing outside your inner circle they are out to get you. Maybe you need to manage expectations within reality.

Here we are one year later since the failed TA so how is your "plan" going? Did the Company come back with that "back pocket" TA that had all that retro pay and raises you promised? No. Did the mediator buckle under your barrage of facts and legal maneuvering/ No. Are we anywhere closer to TA that gets us full retro and UPS/SWA wages? No. Did Jim Weel cave in to your demands? No. Do you have a plan B? No.

Face it. You and your no vote platform got us nothing and most likely never will. (Cool You Tube videos though, love the sound effects) You had your time on the soap box, it's over. Arpey and his team had there way again. They actually got a paycut because of your leadership.

Blame the Int'l and let the conspiracy theories run rampant. Doesn't change the fact that you failed to deliver on your promises.

With his education, sounds like Gary Peterson could give you guys a lesson or two in reading income statements and balance sheets, skills that often are in very short supply around these parts.
