December Will Be Bad News Month At American

To "THIS" day, I'm still trying to figure out, how AA got away with closing ALB/SYR/ROC/BUF, under the provisions that were just outlined.

If anyone answers, "Well (ex) ALB went all A/E", ..............."I" was passing thru PIT some years back, and personally asked the PIT GM, if PIT,

1. Had any mainline flights at that point in time ?...................Answer: "NO"
2. Still had any protected AAers still in the station ??........Answer: "YES, because of the contract"

PIT + ALB were both protected stations !!

"WHAT HAPPENED" ????????????????

NH/BB's

The guys who were station protected from way back were the reason. As they went so went the right to hold the station.

That's exactlty how it's being done, and that's the only reason why MEM is still staffed with TWU with only 2 or 3 MD-80's a day. AA could have made MEM all Eagle and eliminated the TWU years ago, not sure why they haven't already done that.

Whoever you asked about PIT mainline departures was wrong... They've never dropped DFW-PIT as mainline as far as I know.

As for ALB/ROC/SYR/BUF, closing the station to mainline and outsourcing are separate actions. There's nothing in the contract which prevents a specific station from being closed to AA and opened as MQ, provided that Eagle doesn't exceed the 6% ASM cap in the TWU scope clause. That's clearly spelled out on the first or second page of Article 1. Station/Location protection is covered in Article 42.

Tulsa base meeting takes place tomorrow nov.16 and it is rumored that announcement of a signifcant layoff will commence in december. If this is to be fact Im quite suprised the media has'nt latched on to this by now!

I am still hearing rumblings of a Title 1 layoff in December.

Seems honest Union Officers tell the truth, while the stooges remain silent and act as though nothing is about happen. <_<

DECEMBER WILL BE BAD NEWS MONTH AT AMERICAN!

If there was going to be a RIF in December, wouldn't the news be out by now because of the time required for transfers, bumps, etc. to be processed?

For what it's worth the Jan bid has been postponed by 4 weeks at DFW. The bidding is still being done on time but the start date has been delayed. The last time this happened was to work in the incoming layoffs. So based on this, we should be hearing something in about 3 weeks.

Any news yet Informer?
I realize that many twu bubba believers live in a drunken state most of the time but I still held out hope that despite the drunkeness, they could still wake up and see what month they are in, I guess I was wrong. FYI...we are still in November.

Yeah, I've got news. How about you?

Has the sheep farm on Pine filled you in on the details yet?

Kansas City will be shut down soon.
<_< That wouldn't surprise me at all! People here have been expecting that for some time now! But what happens after that? Do you really think that will be the end of it?
