Say what you want about the AMFA. The fact still remains that they have over 9000 signed cards turned in at the NMB. The twu will get their chance to debate. Take the time to sober up. You will need a clear head when the AMFA national comes to town to debate. If the AMFA is as bad as you say, why doesn't the AMFA membership get rid of them and get the twu???? Why are there AMFA drives at AA, Fed-Ex, and Continental??
You wannabes will never have what it will take to correct the wrongs the twu has done to our profession over the last 50+ years.
Have some patience....your twu time is in short supply. Enjoy what little you have left!!

Keep the Faith........VOTE AMFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Bus dude, You know wh....... never mind. It is obvious that you have drank way to much of the AMFA Kool-aid and are beyond help...!

Peanut butter jelly, Peanut butter jelly, and AMFA Kool-aid 5 cents a cup...!

Cute reply......I seriously doubt your the one to put an end to the AMFA movement. It's your type of mentality I want to distance myself from. If any of your rhetoric held water, there would not be any airline represented by the AMFA.
With your limited knowledge on the AMFA, I seriously doubt if your even in our craft and class. You may want to think about attending the twu/AMFA debate. Ask a mechanic to let you know when it is. We'll let you in as long as you don't bring your coffin and leave your unprofessional antics at home.
"high speed steel"????? Is that your parts cart you deliver stock with or your conveyor belt you load bags with????
Sober up..................you'll need a clear head when AMFA national comes to town!!!!!

Bob, Thanks for spewing some of your "blue" on my post. So it is true that AMFA is about "Outsourcing of Our Jobs". You comment on organizing the third party providers after imbeding the fungus "AMFA" at all of the airlines.....! You know Bob, you sound like a "SCAB" to me....! You suggest the elimination of good paying AMERICAN JOB"S, and the devistation of the livelyhoods of many of my fellow co-workers...! Why don't you go crawl back under the rock that you came from...!

You must be retarded.

You would rather take endless paycuts in order to compete with other mechanics at non union facilities instead of trying to get together with them and organize?

You are the scab, the one who will grovel before the company and work for less.

The fact is that most of the outsoucing of airline work is not going overseas, its staying right here in America but going to non-union shops.

I recently spoke to someone from Las Vegas. He told me that while the economy has recovered the number of Asian tourists are still down. He said the reason was because the US would not allow those carriers to fly into our country because they fail to meet our maintenance and security standards. So if we wont let those people fly their airplanes into our country do you think that we are going to fly our planes over there to be worked on?

The key to our success is to get into an organization that has a lock on the entire supply of mechanics. So yes that means organizing the third party providers, bringing their wages and benifits up to airline standards and working together as a class and craft so we all benifit instead of underbidding and competing with each other as the TWU would have us do.

Delle had a prime opportunity to show All of Us he was not afraid to stand up and take the challenge! Remember, adversity is not on your terms! Delle is scarred to debate the TWU One on One!

Don't worry, the schedule will go forward! If the members control Amfa than I would suggest you show us what you are made of and put pressure on Delle to attend the meetings and put pressure on the chief Amfa organizers to stand up and show us what they are capable of!

Or! Will they run and hide? If so than you have to wonder if Amfa is really something you want! Quit making excuses and show us how well, you control Amfa! After all, you are an associate member who was bragging about being able to vote in an Amfa election! Or is local 12 just a front!

No more excuses or rhetoric! Show us what you are made of!!!!! Or? Are you all just puppets for Delle's Pleasures?
Organizers why not run down to your Amfa local and make a motion to request Delle to participate in the debates?

If you review the tape of the TUL info meeting last Sept. you'll realize why Delle will probably be another NO-SHOW. He is no debater, and his support panel cringes everytime he opens his mouth. I think I saw him put two sentences together once without a stutter.

All bow to the king!!!

Likewise, Delle-Femine, saying he is confident that AMFA would prevail in an election, added that he would accept the Transport Workers' challenge to a series of debates.

Full Story

Okay, so who is telling the Truth? Will Delle Debate or not? Will the amfa wannabes rank and file step up and debate the pro TWU Members?

CIO you stated that AMFA does not like Adversity? Check the AMFA Constitution under DEBATE! There is a Whole section for Debating at a union meeting, the TWU Constitution has only the word debating/debate two times; and it is a vague reference to what the guidlines are for what is a debate at TWU local meetings!

AMFA National Director

Mr. Delle-Femine:

While you have not provided me with a direct response to the TWU’s debate challenge, I have obtained a release that you sent to the Tulsa World rejecting our challenge. In your release, you provided a series excuses for refusing to debate. Here is my response:

AMFA is refusing to debate because the room only has capacity for 400 people. In fact, the TWU has reserved a room on April 21 that will accommodate more than 1,000 for the two debates.

AMFA is refusing to debate because the TWU proposed making the debate open to all Mechanic and Related workers from all airlines. The issues being debated are important to all Mechanic and Related workers in our industry. We see no reason to exclude any Mechanic and Related workers from this event.

AMFA is refusing to debate because you are concerned about who will serve as the impartial moderator. Reverend Howard Plowman has agreed to moderate the debate. As I am sure you will agree, Rev. Plowman has an excellent reputation, and his ability to serve as an impartial moderator is beyond reproach.

AMFA is refusing to debate because the dates of April 21 and April 27 are “premature.†I note that AMFA demanded a debate with the TWU on January 17, 2004. If January was not too early to debate, I don’t see any legitimate reason for refusing to debate in April.

Finally, AMFA is refusing to participate in a rank-and-file debate on April 27. Last September, when you met with a group of American Airlines Mechanic and Related workers, you claimed: “The members own the union.†But when the members want to debate the issues that will determine their future, you oppose this type of debate and claim that the members cannot “keep cool heads in that kind of forum.â€

Mr. Delle-Femine, I will be at the Renaissance Hotel on April 21 to debate you one-on-one. Team TWU’s rank and file debate team will be at the Renaissance Hotel on April 27 to debate a team of rank and file AMFA supporters. These two dates are your last opportunity to debate.

Sincerely,

James C. Little

Director Air Transport Division

Intl. Administrative Vice President

Who wants to make a wager now???? Will Delle show or not???? Will rank and file show or not????

My guess. . .

NO ON BOTH!!!!

Delle wants NO PART of this forum, regardless of WHO makes the arrangements. He won't even let his members debate. Can you say dictator??? We know now that Mr. Little WILL be there.

What'cha think Dave, Bob, Raptor, Hackman, Rusty, BusDude, Birdman, (et al) should Delle show up or not???

Shuld be a great show anyway!!

Who wrote this letter? little, hall or the Tulsa PR firm? Nice chest pounding. The letter points out to the debate offer in Jan. 17, 2004 but does not explain why the twu was a no show. Face it twu, you smell fear... and it is your own. You missed your chance at a debate. You will get another one when AMFA is ready.

Why does this letter not explain why AA's eligibility list includes the names of the deceased, fired, resigned or the double name entries? Well, enjoy your debate amongst yourselves. If your debate turns into an informational meeting make sure you ask little why we did not get our full revote. And ask him about the three million the company gives the union for union salaries.

There will be an election and the twu will lose. Make sure you have your coffin displayed proudly for the cameras.

GO AMFA!

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!!!

You sound like a broken record Ken!!!

You wannabes keep saying that Delle will do it when he is ready, I think the membership is ready don't you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet he will pull another stunt like he did at Horizon and have the debate the day the ballots were mailed out! How's that for timing in amfa's favor????

Delle won't show because he knows he can't win. That's why he counter offered the debate at the Brady because HE KNEW there would be noone there to debate him. Hell, he wouldn't even debate the membership that day. I don't know why either. He had it set up for a debate didn't he? He should have taken the offer. I mean certainly the amfa National Director knows a lot more than a couple of TWU members doesn't he???

Proof Ken. . .show us proof. I have been asking Bob for a month now to show proof of the $3 mil you guys keep crying about (and you are crying about it!!!! :( :( :( ) There is none!!! You are placing blame on everyone and everything else instead of putting the blame where it belongs. . .on amfa!!!

Plowman? Is he related to the TWU's Plowman?

Whats Little's rush all of a sudden? The earlier debate was for the card drive. The card drive is over, now we are waiting on the NMB. The next debate will be for the vote. Why is Little demanding a vote so early, why is he saying "now or never"? Could it be that this is merely a propaganda move?

So Bob a question are you saying that the TWU needs to debate on AMFA schedule ?
Maybe the TWU feels the same way ;)
It is funny to me that everyone seems to want to debate at their room with their moderator on their schedule but no one wants to come to someone elses room with someone elses moderator on someone elses schedule

I wonder why there will be no debate <_<

The fact is only a madman would come to someone elses debate ( like burchette )
no one else would be crazy enough to do it, the only reason Presidential canidates debate is because the debates are put on by the media not the politicians themselves, so they trust that it will indeed be impartial.

It is interesting that there has only been one debate between Unions in the last 10 years and that one was the one where Burchette ( a madman ) accepted Delle's debate challenge at Horizon.

I am 100% sure that we will NEVER see anything like that again
and before anyone says it no I am not a fan of Burchette I am just stating the facts.

I was glad to see that Jim Little said that there will not be anymore debate challenges or acceptances after this April 21 deal. He finally did something right :D

I am tired of seeing this whole debate farse from both sides it is getting real old, now let's get on with the vote.

After we wack off the Ineligible voters of course. :D

Raptor, name one debate or better yet any info meeting where a TWU rep was asked to stand that AMFA did not control the mic. As previously stated, AMFA requires control to sway the event, they cannot win by facts presented with their history as evidence.
