Come And Talk

I will try and be there need INFO not rumers like here

Rumers?

IBT serving drinks?

LOL!

At least the ibt is comming out to talk to the us airways techs. the iam hasn't said a thing to us out west. so 700uw why don't you show up for one of the meetings you might find out the real facts.

I all ready know what I need, I know your airplanes are not overhauled in-house and all I read is empty promises about the IBT trying, keyword, trying to change that.

and what are you (iam) going to do til 2009 except taking low pay poor sick time less vacation less everything and ask Parker I'll bet you that the existing in house work will stay in company.

You can have all the sick time in the world, if you don't have the scope language, you don't have jobs, that is plain and simple.

HP keeps Timco and TACA in business.

The ibt scope says the company can not outsource any work being done in house costing the jobs of any techs read the scope 2.3 item d

(d) contract out
work at any location where such work has not heretofore been performed by unit
employees on a regular basis, or at any location where the Company has not
heretofore maintained permanent maintenance facilities or employees. The Company
shall not, however, contract out work if such contracting our would result in a reduction
in force for any employee covered by this Agreement.

so it looks like to me the heavy checks stay in house, so stop using that threat.

HP does not do any heavy checks in-house, so how can they remain in-house then TIMCO and TACA all ready perform the work and not HP mechanics?

JETBLUE AIRWAYS DOESN'T OFFER passenger service to El Salvador. But this year, the discount airline will fly at least 17 of its 68 Airbus A320 jets to that country.

There, over six days, local mechanics working for an aircraft-overhaul shop under contract to JetBlue will inspect each plane nose to tail. They'll examine hydraulic and pneumatic systems, lubricate joints, service brakes and paint tray tables and toilet seats. Then the jets will fly back to the U.S.

America West Airlines also is sending some of its planes to El Salvador for checkups required by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. Northwest Airlines flies wide-body jets to Singapore and Hong Kong for service by outside contractors.

Aeroman, TACA´s Maintenance Repairs & Overhaul facility, is among the first eleven leading maintenance facilities in the world to launch the new Airbus MRO Network. The Network has been designed as an initiative to ensure the availability of competitive maintenance services and solutions for Airbus aircraft around the world.

“We are very satisfied that Airbus is considering our company as one of the eleven first MRO members to take part of this aircraft support network worldwide; this is also a reminder of our commitment and responsibility to continue the high quality standards that we have been delivering to our customers", indicated Ernesto Ruiz, TACA- Aeroman´s Maintenance & Engineering Vice-President. "In the past our mission was to get North American customers to believe in our work, today we have airlines such as JetBlue Airways and America West that have entrusted their reputation and brand to our technical expertise; and now our participation in this Airbus MRO Network really brings to light our competitiveness" , he added.

Aeroman

In 2004, it started to provide maintenance services for two of the most successful low cost airlines for the North American region; JetBlue Airways and America West Airlines. Since then they have trusted Aeroman´s broad technical experience with the Airbus A320 model, to entrust considerable part of their fleet to receive maintenance with specialized technical services in El Salvador during all of 2005.

Aeroman is certified by the United States´ FAA, Europe´s JAA, and civil aviation authorities of 13 countries, mostly Latin American. In December it was the first MRO in the Americas to obtain certification of the new European Aviation Security Agency, EASA. Also as of January 2003, relies on the support of being a ISO 9000-2001 certified company.

Part time?

Not an IAM employee, I am a IAM member.

Nope not me.

Keep trying.

Guess you can refute the facts your IBT contract permits all heavy mtc to be outsourced.

Lets see, what part of HP does not peform its own heavy mtc do you not understand?

HP does not exist anymore they merged with u-guy's creating LCC
probally should be LBA instead though for Low Budget Air

Go ask the FAA if HP still exsists, and they will tell you that it does as you are still flying on HP's Certificate on the US/West part of the airline.
