The NGO's are benefiting big time from much of this waste (fraud). It would be interesting what ties they have with those in the government on both sides of the aisle.
They are cashing in big time with these NGO’s and the Liberal voters are in support of it. I can’t make it make sense for them to do so. I’m certain they will be finding kick backs to the politicians putting a rubber stamp on all this crap. You are correct it’s going to be on both sides, that’s why one side isn’t pointing the finger at the other and both are silent. I wish they would start with AOC, the trail is short and fresh. They can easily find out how it’s done. The veteran politicians showed her how to do it. That’s why she has toned herself down a bit.

Let's see....USAid was gutted because it was a waste to feed kids in Africa, which is wasteful spending. Space X has $20 billion in contracts, $12 billion which has yet to be spent, and the DoD and NASA, two big departments that provide that funding, have already been "audited" and cuts made, but not a dime was cut from Space X, which includes funding to explore building a colony on Mars. If hungry kids in Africa are wasteful spending, the money to research growing food and feeding kids on Mars should be equally wasteful. Also, I'm not sure of the progress that has been made on Leon's recommendation that the $2 billion, 15 year contract to upgrade the ATC system that was awarded in 2023 to Verizon be terminated and given to Starlink instead.

My grandson is 7 years old and HIS great grandson will likely never see a colony on Mars. Is THAT research money well spent? Just in the past few weeks I got to see my tax money explode and put on a fireworks show over the Caribbean...TWICE -as this Mars rocket blowed up real good
WE have a very large food organization in KC called Harvesters. Locals donate a LOT to it but it needs more. The Feds cut them off. This isn't for African kids, it's for American kids, and their hunger is ongoing. food assistance for them is not. Thanks DOGE
