1% I guess the IAM considers that a raise - not us
IAM gets raises you get nothing.
Here is a fact for you, apparently enough mechanics and related aren't as happy with the IAM as you and deceided to look for another union to represent them. Obviously if everyone on the East side were happy with the IAM this whole election procedure wouldn't be as far along as it is, will the election take place will see but please stop coming on here and spinning how great the IAM is and how bad the IBT is! No matter what happens if the IAM wins or the IBT wins the contract we have now remains in place and with the latest track record of the IAM why should we keep rewarding them with our dues, we on the East side have seen the IAM and what they have done it's time for a change! If your happy with the IAM then vote for them, if your not, then vote IBT most importantly if there is a vote, vote for somebody!Such an intelligent post, NOT!
I was there, I lived it, too bad you dont like reality of the facts.
And if you don't like what I post then ignore it, I am not going anywhere.
GREAT POST; THIS NEGATIVE #### HAS HIT AN ALLTIME LEVEL OF PURE CRAPPY PROPORTION'S. THANKS FOR A MUCH NEED RESPONCE. That is because your raises, not counting step raises is 0%, now two 1% and two 2% raises is more then your so called ibt/HP CBA entails and it is all about SHOW ME THE MONEY and the ibt has not done that.
You make this way to easy and once again, don't let the facts get in your way!

We gain Scope, Heavy mtc and gaurantees, and we keep our seniority, also our pay will surpase yours as we have gauranted raises over the life of the contract and your no raises in yours till you ever get a new one.
YOU MAKE THIS TO EASY
I dont see how you passed the third grade? I'm toped out at $23.35 + $2.00 for lic. + .35 shift pay = $25.70 OH I work in the hanger just so numbers are the same. Just a wrench. IAM top out $22.77 + $1.00 for lic. + .00 shift pay =23.77 with your whooping 1% 2006,1% 2007, 2%2008, 2% 2009 That is $24.00/06 and $24.25/07 and $24.73/08 and $25.22/09 That is good math in 4 years you will still be .55 cents behind what I'm making NOW
That is $3536.00 less in 06, $3016.00i n 07, $2018.00 in 08, and $999.00 in 09 ==TOTAL OF $9569.00
Would you like to retrack your statement about PAY???
Now from your agreement Scope/Other
ITEM#1 SCOPE as I see it you got the S-Check by giving up the 757,767,and A330 and the Company may outsource a max of 50% REQUIRED Q-checks and any and all SHOPS/AREA as discribed in Attachment C this list has 33 shops on it.
ITEM#7 279 Minimum A/C " The scope and job security of the Jan 2003 Agrrment requiring the company to maintain a minimum fleet size of 279 total mainline aircraft will be ELIMINATED."
The more I read the more inpressed I am with you.
So lets see going with the IBT you loss WHAT?
Gain Pay , Vac, Sick pay, 401k,etc etc etc...
Staying with the IAM what do you gain?
MAKE YOUR POINT
You still have the "Agency Fee Payor" option. The time for that is October.Question is Who has the balls? :huh:No matter what happens if the IAM wins or the IBT wins the contract we have now remains in place and with the latest track record of the IAM why should we keep rewarding them with our dues, we on the East side have seen the IAM and what they have done it's time for a change!
Could You Explain This For the Less knowledgeable! Like ME, MWW.....You still have the "Agency Fee Payor" option. The time for that is October.Question is Who has the balls?

Actually effective Jan 2007 a Usairways A&P mechanic will be making $25.23 an hour, line or hangar all shifts. In Jan 2008, there is a 2% base raise plus a .50 cent an hour raise total for the A&P. That will be $26.19 an hour 2008. The same for 2009, and the pay will be $27.16 an hour. I'm not here to waste my time argueing with anyone, just telling you the honest factual truth. I have a contract book and know how to read it. I'm not happy compared to my old salary, but considering the company was bankrupt twice I'm surprised we will be at the above rates in 2009. Although I feel all A&P's should be in the $36 to $46 dollar an hour range. It looks like you got some future raises coming your way.
