which is not surprising since your employer got rid of both fairly quickly into your tenure, did they not?

if passengers hated it, it would have to be FL's but I doubt if even you heard it; the 717 has been very well received.

the 717 interior is very similar to the M90 with the addition of A/C power thruout the aircraft.

many passengers, me included, prefer the 2-3 configuration of McD-D aircraft to the A/B 3-3 setup.
Wrong again there little buddy.  I have heard it. 717's have been very well received by whom?  And now you speak for all passengers?  WOW! Get a clue brother, get a clue...

where in my post did you see "ALL"?

again, what you can't grasp is that DL can make something work that WN could not.

kinda like ATL, huh?

btw, looks like DL is going to start service to one of WN's core original Texas routes - HRL - from where else but ATL.

http://airlineroute.net/2014/11/13/dl-atlhrl-feb15/

with a 64% load factor, looks like HRL would be one of those cities that could very much stand to see 717s.

or maybe, DL will pull off enough traffic that WN will decide that it isn't worth staying there... just like EYW and a host of other cities since the merger

yes... and they are adding ATL (which they have done before).

their interest from MSP is for competitive reasons.

since DL didn't fly MSP-HRL before another carrier started it, it should be obvious that DL's interest in that route isn't because Mr. Hau... suddenly decided that S. Texas seemed like a great getaway for frigid Midwesterners.

Maybe it's intended to fly illegals north for snow plowing jobs?

Maybe DL sees the impending failure of Obamacare as a way to make money?

HRL ain't exactly paradise, but there's a whole cash-only medical & dental industry that sets up shop in the border towns like Metamoros and Juarez. Need implants or caps? Cross the border, and you'll pay 10-25% of what it would cost for the co-pay on a US dental plan.

indeed... airlines absolutely benefit from medical tourism.

the question is whether that is the same reason an LCC jumped into the market and why DL felt a need to get in there right alongside.

and then if DL believes the same opportunities exist from ATL.

Oh my bad.  I will fix;

And now you speak for "MANY" passengers?  WOW! Get a clue brother, get a clue...

When you have to nic-pic one single word, you are grasping.

you are the one that is nit-picking.

all because you can't accept that the 717 is bringing mainline service back to a lot of communities that haven't seen it for years.

DL has its own aircraft at scores more cities in the US than any other airline.

of course passengers like it.... DL's traffic results prove it.

Whatever dude, whatever, I am done with you.  You are a moron, an idiot, and a dumb a$$.  You cannot comprehend. You cannot get a clue. You cannot ever admit when you have been proven wrong, numerous upon numerous times in the past by everyone out here.
I don't care how Delta is going to or will use the future of their 717's they are getting from SWA.  They can fucking have them, I have told you this over and over again and again.  Keep them for all I care, their maint and cost are well above what SWA is willing to spend for them.  I will no longer respond to any of your post (even if you post lies and misinformation) because you are such a freakin imposible, complete freakin moron that you actually have NO CLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

go, just go.

the 717 is a great airplane for DL, its employees, and its customers.

the best part is that WN has decimated its ATL operation by handing over the 717s to DL and cut one route after another in WN's bid to remake ATL in its image. The fact that DL is reporting very strong margin growth at ATL is all the confirmation that is needed to show that WN did more for DL than anyone could have possibly imagined.

and the 717 is and will be a fixture of DL's operations at DAL where it will help to ensure DL's service well into 2015 and beyond.
