Beef and Beer

I suspect they don't have one because NONE of their "Guys" are involved.
If true...would then make all of them involved for turning their heads on this one

I wish I knew a really good civil rights & Labor attorney, because there would be two rather large checks coming someone way.

One from US for allowing a hostile work environment
Two from the IAM for not representing the females properly.

If true
I draw the conclusion... that local leadership condones a hostile work enviroment as a ploy that they cannot control the troops...
by the way it seems to me by their actions that they can't control themselves

Hum...maybe DP should give great consideration to de-hubbing PHL, getting rid of the getto employees, then re- HUB a city that would really appreciate it, like PIT. PHL seems to be completely out of control.

It is our understanding from a number of pilots and FAs there are gangs on the ramp in PHL. We were told that management there is unable (should I say afraid) to take action against these gang employees because supervisors and managers have been threatened by them off of airport property. I think the problems there go deeper than most of us originally thought.

Maybe they should re HUB PIT..Its is a great city and people in PIT have a great work ethic and would appreciate the work, again. I know it will never happen....but I have hope for them. I know the airport/city commissioners caused problems there, but the workers in PIT are
dedicated to the job.

For the sake of PHL, I pray that DP can work his magic there, he seems to have the stickability, fortitude and determination...but if at the end of that long hard road it doesn't work out, I'm sure PIT is ready to step up to the plate.

PHL will not be going anywhere.

As Doug has stated numerous times PHL generates the most revenue and is the most profitable hub/city in the whole system.

They are committing another $20 million to PHL to give it the resources it needs to work better.

What was the (PHL) iam's position on these ?

They're sure as hell not for it, and have let PHL management know on numerous occasions. The IAM can't discipline anyone, and unfortunately they'll have to defend them if action is ever taken.

So as you state "The IAM can't discipline anyone, and unfortunately they'll have to defend them if action is ever taken".
Then why have they used intimidation to fellow iam members who did not "walk their walk" and there are few in PHL, but in this instance you tell me that they can't do anything...sounds like the same old phl iam B/S.

Also ,if true to fact, then the 22 were probally told that whatever happens at the hotel the IAM can't discipline anyone, and unfortunately they'll have to defend them if action is ever taken.

It's a lot easier to get a few IAM members to "walk their walk" than a few hundred. I guarantee that if there were only a handful of trouble makers someone would have stepped up to the plate by now and handled the situation the way it should be handled. The fact of the matter is that there are just too many trouble makers now and it can't be handled without management.

On a side note; Has anyone heard about a Unity day in PHL for FSA. I heard it's being held Monday April 17th at 10:00am in the B-Con Baggage claim area?

OK, I'm stupid here WTF is "Unity Day"???

Unity day, Solidarity day....same concept. Come on out and show your support for the 22 FSA that were terminated. Isn't FFocus selling chocolates with the proceeds benefiting the 22 (just kidding)?

How did you know?? We have Chocolate Handcuffs and truffles in the shape of boxing gloves!

Both have the inscription "22 ways to love your IAM Brothers"
thanks for your help bob.

Got the latest news on the Beef and Beer!

Its Cancelled!

Why?

Lack of sale on tickets!

The 22 can't figure out why!

Thats why there on the street!

The general feeling I hear is "F" the 22

Lack of sale on tickets!

Pretty bad when you have to cancel an event where most, if not all, of the food and beer was being donated. Not to mention the use of the Union hall was also free.

Hadn't heard about this yet though, thanks for the heads up. Now I can make other plans. :D

Well this is interesting! A little birdy told me less then 35 tickets were sold. Looks like the IAM is in a death spiral and 700UW has been mighty silent.

An amazing turn of events IMO. I thought they would get at least 100 tickets sold for certain.

Question: Since many were IAM leaders what does this mean?

It means they should put Texans in charge of the beef next time :p :p :p :p
