Well lets do this right if we are going to do it. No BS. I want to see everyone outside with union pins of some sort displayed. We are allowed to wear them so we should. Problem is most don't know why they should! Goes hand in hand with being uninformed or not caring. We shall see who needs information and why , if IAM PINS become available
This should be a good lesson for everyone. You will experience first hand, and participate in in a chosen path. The IAM is going to allow member input via internet regarding your resolve. There will be no more blaming the union-- If the Membership does not wish to stand firm, it will be a choice that was consciously made!

If you follow every detail... you will see and understand how negotiations are orchestrated for work groups like Fleet under the RLA. Keep in mind, Fleet is not the only work group that has had to... or is going through this same test of will.

Count me in for a strike... I can use some time away from this place (even if unpaid), especially during the summer. Tempers are short and management is long on being stupid.

accrdin to the iam141 website the federal mediator called it off and no time table for talks.. hmm it sounds like it was real bad from the start.
i guess the 2% will start the 1 day of the new pay period in july??

Be assured. All the major issues are still being discussed. Including scope!
Thank you for clarifying CB. I feel better. You and the rest of the NC need to hang tough. You have done a good job of it up to this point. Hopefully, we can get the membership actively engaged in their support of the NC as their collective voice. It would be very beneficial to the NC at this time. Additionally, it would be in the best interest of our collective future. It's time for all members to put past differences behind us and fight on a united front. It's time for the apathetic member to become more informed and engaged. Hoping a couple of you will get the chance to visit my station.

I don't have a list of all the cities yet that we are visiting. If we don't make it directly to your city, I'll let ya know when we are having it in clt. Maybe you can hop up. If not, maybe I can come on down for a day trip down there and talk to the guys. I'll let ya know as soon as we get the cities set.

I had a conversation with a couple guys today and i said to them.......(they are from HP btw). " Do you guys realize that you are working under a BK contract?" They had no idea and never even thought about it ! So i explained to them that they basically inherited it during the merger.
Also the company would like to thank you for hanging in there and helping create profits by scanning bags and keeping the airline running ontime. We think so much of you that we give you $50 for doing so. Maybe $150 a quarter if you work a little harder at it amongst other things... So far you've done a great job so we are not going to negotiate on par with those efforts. So much so that buy the time we sign anything it will be about six years before we sit at the table again to look forward to the next so many years after that. Meanwhile we will be the biggest airline in the world, something you can be proud of, for your efforts. And, who knows? When we become one with AA?

YOU MAY STILL BE UNDER A BK CONTRACT.....

How nice is that!

Sincerely Appreciated DP / AH

ah haahh there is no 2% ...........

sorry no more cost of living increases for YOU ! as each year passes without a cost of living increase , it's essentially a 2% (more like 3 really) pay cut for all of us .

Strikes are fine and dandy ...but we all need to realize we cannot just snap our fingers and presto strike ....

A strike has to be planned ... I do agree that the height of summer is the best time to strike .. passenger loads are high and tempers can flair at the drop of a hat ..

If we were to strike , we should plan on next year ... This gives our membership time to save money in anticipation of striking ...

unfortunately, It is not up to the union when they can strike. That is up to the NMB brother. The mediator must first release the union to legally withdrawal services.

Would be glad to visit CLT for the briefings as long as I'm escorted with the NC. Would prefer though a visit by yourself and MF to the station. My station is facing the outsourcing buzzsaw. Pittsburgh south should be visited brother.

If you have to come to clt, I'll pick you up anytime. But I'll do my best to get us down there.
