And Tim is your god?

Go read the 2005 and 2008, in 2008 they got slight improvements.

It wasnt section 6 negotiations, it was a transition agreement, it wasnt full blown renegotiating a CBA.

You are so blinded its pathetic.

Blame the RLA and the company, the company refuses to recognize the sacrifices of the employees, that is why it took 8 years for the Flight Attendants to get a jcba, that is why both Maintenance and Fleet have asked the board to be released.

See joshie, I heard the briefings from both negotiating committees, did you?

Mechanic and related are asking for a very good wage, and other items.

700, fine. If work is currently contracted out where there is nobody from amr on layoff then insource the work.
But if the company wants to throw a few bones of insource stations for a total package of helping hands with duel operation stations then that wont be good enough unless the price is raised. Anything that moves the merger forward without getting a fair and equitable agreement will necessarily weaken the leverage of our nc.

any idea as to where aa would have us do the ground work at? for example.. i know in my station AA has i believe about 10 mainline jet flights and may be about 6 express flights a day their ramp and baggage claim are both outsourced.. are you saying 700 that for example in a station like mine we would ground handle aa flights? and if so is that a prelude to what may happen after merger

700, ur rihht, transitions got some minor tweaks but much was also given up. Profit sharing for one.
At any rate, regarding one of your recent post, ua has 29 stations under scope, amr 17, usairways is 12. May be 11 or 13, dunno. Another two dozen stations are not protected so im not counting stations that exist because of management. Dl has 43 of its own stations done by mainline and 18 cargo centers but i suspect the ongoing organizing campaigns keep delta at bay.

Cmon 700, give it a break, josh is just clarifying earlier post. I could be wrong but i doubt josh is someone with no interest in these thing, and i doubt you dont have any interest. Both of you claim no tangible interest yet seem to have ongoing feuds. I find it interesting that both of you engage with a knowledge of past history and current history and spend tons of your time doing so.

Pj, the dol concluded there was not enough evidence to overturn the election. I lost.
In life, how do they say it....you win some and....
Otoh, i didnt spend nearly the time on a case against the intl when i ran for intl president to challenge some of the constitutional deficiences, but i was told that the dol and intl are already in negotiations to correct that election.Time will tell what compliance agreement they come up with. Either way its quite interesting to challenge constitutional deficiencies of the iam for the benefit of the member.
Thanks for asking.
regards,

Plenty of other posters participate here that do not directly work in the industry. It is not a requirement to work for the airlines to post here. Like I said, I am good friends with several CO (UA) and AA employes and also travel extensively for work on AA.

Tim,

Your post is a little misleading. DL has zero protections and AMR has 17 unless they fall below 49 mainline weekly flights. 65% of AMR's 4.8% equity stake in the company comes from giving up work to the point that there are 17 current stations as long as they stay at 49 weekly mainline flights. They also have a drop dead date a few years from now on those protections.

Yeah, giving up stations for equity sucks but the question was comparing the two agreements. Omg, another drop dead date? Didnt know about that, where is that cited and what date?
As far as the flight limit, i guess we can say that about our class one stations as well. I prefer mirroring something like ua has not determined on x amount of flights but probably impractical in these talks.
Happy fathers day brother

Good friendships don't always give one the ability to conclude whats fact from opinion. It often is one sided and a little sckewed if one is not in the situation on a daily basis themselves. Posters that participate hear should have more concerns regarding upcoming decisions about to unfold. Take the work home with you day after day after weeks after years and the opinions would change im sure. Employees tend to not read hear anymore because of all the distractions and if they do read, they dont comment. We need their comments. We need to know their concerns and your bickering has nothing to do with our livelihoods.
So!........ Whats your purpose?

Ohhh… this one’s easy… here’s the answer…he is here-- “To provide input that casts doubt on the integrity, and credibility of the Bargaining Unit— consequently dividing the Membership, so the Company has more leverage against the Work Group in negotiations”!

It’s about money!!

Ah.... i should have figured being in finance as he has said. There is a little devilish vision there...

What is being said in the breakrooms by the NC?

Members of the NC came to ORD and our members there heard the NC say that they were digging in and getting a fair and equitable contract now, not waiting for transitions. Specifically, it was said that they are asking for things north of the AMR contract. I myself think the focus shouldn't be on an AMR bankrupt contract but I understand the line of conversation will necessarily involve AMR in it. North of AMR is certainly on the right path.

However, I have received calls saying that in some breakrooms, they are saying that the transition talks is where they will gain the most. What have brothers and sisters on this board hear? FWIW: Transition talks suck and always have, and because of no strength in transition talks, they usually drag out for years and years. Moreso, lately.

regards,
TN....a little clarification here. Are you referring to the United NC who visited breakrooms or the USAirways NC that visited breakrooms?
