You do realize US has 33 ramp stations and AA only has 17?

Yeah and UA would have set a new low for the industry with seven stations protected. Besides, based on the combined list it seems some stations like MHT will be outsourced.

UA had mainline at MHT and MIA until the IAM allowed UA to outsource, the CO side is mainline at MIA while UA is express. Shows the great value of IAM protection, right?

Josh

You do realize its a chapter 11 cba at ua that allowed the outsourcing?

When are you finally gonna grasp that concept?

All unions were hit hard cause every major airlines filed chapter 11, just wait to you see whats on the table for fleet and mtc, got an update thrusday, the unions are demanding major givebacks since concessions were forced due to bankruptcy.

700 the T/A from February 13, 2013 allowed outsourcing all but seven stations. Stations with a single mainline departure year round are mainline stations, all others can be Express and most are ZW.

The IAM gave UA unprecedented concessions, they sold out the small stations for a few pieces of coin for DEN/EWR/IAD/IAH/LAX/ORD/SFO

Josh

How many times are you going to repeat the ZW?

No union is involved who what vendor is picked, how many times do you have to be told that?

And the members spoke and voted it down, its done over and move on.

700, I'm not sure I understand you. You do know that 29 stations are protected with scope under the United current ramp bankrupt contract? The TA that Sito & Ira packaged, stripped that down to 7 stations while United made hundreds of millions of dollars last year. United is not in bankruptcy.

Um, you are incorrect. A letter intercepted by me from air willy management to IAM thanked the IAM for its concessionary contract involving IAD and promised a bid opportunities to over 200 stations on United later in the year. Josh is once again correct.

I think you better learn about reading earnings:

UAL REPORTS $589 MILLION FULL-YEAR 2012 PROFIT EXCLUDING SPECIAL CHARGES; $723 MILLION LOSS INCLUDING SPECIAL CHARGES

Josh, you also have to understand that because of union pensions and loss of members, unions have shifted to soliciting companies for more part time. It's not exclusive to the IAM. The IBT has maintained over million members by increasing its membership by agreeing to the master contract at UPS in the early 90's that made practically all workers who don't drive a truck part time. And restricted hours to 4 hours a day.

The IAM tried unsuccessfully to build its membership at United by supporting unlimited part time. The extra caveat for the IAM is the IAMPF, of which many part timers don't get full credit even though the company is obligated to pay into the fund. You wanna guess where the money goes? Yep, you got it! Never mind all of those hirelings who don't make it 5 years. You wanna guess who keeps the money for "Nutt'n"? Yep, you guessed it. Talk about stealing your socks and leaving your shoes on. Scammers indeed!

Um, maybe you need to take some pills or something. Those special charges were for the retro and singing bonus' and documented in the annual report. Further, all employees got profit checks, including IAM members. 700 STOP IT! STOP IT NOW! Stop making these airlines piss poor! They made millions! Cripes, get a life dude. Airlines are cheap as hell and don't hand out profit sharing checks when they lose money.

Maybe you need to attend a union meeting, ask your shop stewards, grievance committee or AGCs, I was told by some friends on the ramp the Baskett was going through all the breakrooms last week and briefing everyone. And Fairbanks gave a detailed update at the union meeting, as did M&R GC and GLRs.

700,
Once again you are rationalizing the bankruptcyesque agreement the IAM facilitated at UA but fortunately the membership rejected. UA showed an accounting loss but they are not bankrupt. You are correct they were not profitable in the most recent quarter but these concessions are unjustified. The IAM wanted to set a new bottom, this time at UAL.
