I talked to a member of the APA Scope Committee over the weekend, they don't want DOH.

They want slotting by equipment with minimum fences (WBs only).

Demanding DOH gets you nothing. It is the east pilots that have damaged the entire pilot group. If Nicolau is history why are we still talking about it?

How many times do you need t hear those C&R are worthless and not going to happen?

A merger took place in 2005. Wanting separate ops for another 10 years is unacceptable.

DOH seems to work well for the other groups. A proven method already in place. I'm for it as well as willing to accept 10 yrs of separate ops! The west did not learn form East ALPAs unwillingness to bend and have lost their windfall as a result.

Ok. You go ahead and figure out exactly who on the West can legally bind every other west pilot to the "compromise" and we'll talk. The East was so inflexible they voted on USAPA. Nothing has changed, it's USAPA that has a legal obligation to all pilots. It's a hard lesson to learn.

Crazy rumors I have heard this week, anybody got info?

1. In stark contrast to the company line of the West is overstaffed, recall of all remaining West pilots will be announced, and those who recalled east who have served their 18 months will be offered West return by Aug.

2. At POR, the 757 and 190 IOU is getting paid.

3. The Nic is still the only accepted system seniority list covering the combined LCC pilot group....oh, wait, that ain't a rumor that is a fact!

Geez, that's funny had lots of APA boys on jumpseat and poolside in MIA they want there widebodies protected for quite awhile, and all were fine with DOH with a 5 to 7 year fence, C&Rs and fences protection for all, to be fair these guys were all 20 and up to 33yrs with the company..

He, that's great things are looking up for you guys.!!!!! Sure sad they did not take a recall east they could have moved up so quickly. Can't play anymore the boss is yelling, get some yard work done.

You have a new pay rate courtesy of the MOU, and at POR will collect a big bonus over that lousy LOA93 pay rate.

Of course you will see implementation of the Nic, and even more benefits of the MOU.


PS. If you are in the top 500 at LCC, which is your claim, you will not be anywhere near the top 500 at the New American. My best guess right now is say you are 300 at LCC, you will come in around 2400 on a combined list.

I can hold bottom 320 Reserve Captain here.

With DOH I'd be in the top 10% of 737 Captains in Miami and could a hold a 767 Captain block.

Could you hold all of that with the Nicolau list? I doubt it.

But, since you are such a proponent, let me ask you this:

As a matter of personal integrity and conviction, IF the Nicolau list is discarded, will you be sure to bid positions behind those who would have been in front of you on the Nicolau? It's only fair, at least as far as we can tell from your rhetoric.

You did not answer my question. Can the people on the ad hoc committee come off of DOH? Are they capable of negotiating anything?

IF Leonidas were to come off of an arbitrated list what is the fair process? We know negotiating will not work. Will you agree to base ball arbitration?

Usapa demanding that the BPR and membership vote on a seniority list is not a fair process. Nowhere was voting on seniority allowed or required.

Usapa has the same problem. Not coming off DOH or LOS pisses off the judge. Can usapa come off of DOH LOS?

A DoH list makes perfect sense. All LCC groups have merged with it. High time for the west div pilots to adhere to good union principles. Nicolau is a scheme, unfair and a windfall.
Traitor jake will continue to be the outlier. He seems to delight in seeing his fellow workers harmed.
