BUT NOW THAT I COME HERE TO BE INFORMED (tip of the hat of ALL caps for Dave), now I understand that Silver will not only grant the injunction the Plaintiff is asking for, but she will do them one better and enjoin USAir to immediately make the Nic effective on the 14th of May!! And in both cases she doesn't even have to rely on the TA!

I guess she can and actually might do anything. But I note in the last go round she actually said we were under no obligation to use the NIC. That question was not before her, but she chose to say it anyway. Go figure.

And yet, it's not. It is a piece of free advice (usually which you folks rarely take). You are your own worst enemys. The industry is laughing at your continuted obstinance & douchebaggery.

And you will repeat this next week when Silver throws your BS case out?
Standing by for that.

I really don't know what my age has to do with anything. BTW, my career isn't "failed". I was hired by a major airline that was doing quite well before and not long after 9/11. Hiring, upgrades, new aircraft, growth, etc. My upgrade was estimated at year 6.5 (give or take). Then the great idea of acquiring a broke down property with entitled prima donna's that think it's OK to reneg on agreements and then do everything in their power to cheat a small group.

Don't worry Pi, EVERYONE else knows exactly what you are all about. SYIC.

Hey Dave, how's that living the past working out for you. I hate to break it to you, but you were hired old at an airline that the death knell(Doug's words, not mine) had sounded. He managed to pull off a merger that saved us both, but you were denied the windfall that would prevent your fall during the greatest recession since the great depression. Some of us tried to come up with a solution, but no, none of that, Nic or nothing. Oh well.

So tell me Dave. As a PHX rep did you tell the pilots you represent that you are still overstaffed and don't even need any extra pilot for the new rest rules, or were you too busy attending meet and greets?

You won't SMIC, but we'll see what happens.

Just a few small changes. Sounds so simple, and it probably would have been, in the proper venue. In JNC, talking it out like men. Why the power play and fanfare? That only told the west one thing, and I'm pretty sure you can figure it out. All that power play did was poison any and all reason among men and women.

Never at any time did the West Class entertain any fences or restrictions. Never. My guess, having been in the room, is the "seven year' option would have worked just fine in our situation, and been welcomed by the East. DOH with seven year fences. We are already at "six." You would soon inherit the airline. Now your future depends on a Federal Judge who has already told you once you could not have what you want.

Because we were part of a union that took no responsibility, and provided zero input other than a 3rd party "process"; the West Class decided early on the WORST they could do in arbitration was DOH. They won the bet, but the game changed to reflect the pornography of an unearned award.

You cannot and will not ever put a pilot with seventeen years unbroken service, working for an active airline, behind a new hire. To me it is that simple. That was my decision point.

But it’s all over on Tuesday. I am doomed. Silver will now be imposing the NIC award, just like she signaled in her last ruling.

That was awesome! I wanted to hit that preppy punk myself. Love to laugh at those guys that are like, I'm a bad @ss becuase I have a tatoo. Yeah, until you mess with a cowboy.

I thought about bull riding at age 14 until I saw a friend get his skull cracked. I took flying lessons at age 15 instead. What's with the tattoos anyway? I'm convinced it's all Dennis Rodman's fault.

I wish Kim Jong Kid would have kept him as an exotic pet.

You're not saying much there Dave. In '86, the CEO of Piedmont Airlines gave a speech to us new hires, telling us that we would all be Captains in 3 yrs....and we were growing like crazy, with Eastern on it's way out of business.

Things change in this industry. This is your first time in a merger.....let the learning begin. Once you get to that experience level, with a couple of mergers under your belt, you can truly say that you work for a major airline.

I don't know what Silver will do, and I've never claimed any differently. That non answer answered alot. You did not have to leverage your numbers, unless you wanted to just get everything you so desired through might makes right.

And right back at you. Why is the assumption that the party with lesser numbers is somehow ascendant to the throne of rightness?

Getting a little tired of the "downtrodden and oppressed" minority, one that has been flying my routes and getting paid the approximation of a year's more extra pay since 2005 than I have received.

Good on you for your blessings, but the underclass routine is wearing thin.

We're all men an women of the same stock, both sides of this. My only point with the numbers thing, is that your side was able to use leverage to take this process into a place none of us like. I'm no more noble than any other ####.

The west or any other pilot group would have been capable of the same, given the 'right' circumstances. And they wouldn't be any more right or noble in doing so than you are.

We are all of the same stock! And, if the roles had been reversed, I don't think we would have been prescient enough to let go of the windfall either.
