Is express handling at US hubs mainline or express? I know UA has ZW at IAD, OO at SFO and another vendor at DEN.

In CLT Piedmont does the ground handling for the Express flights on E-Con.

The E170s, 175s and above are handled my mainline.

Mainline handled all express flights up until 1992, the work was taken away from mainline when the ramp and csa were non-union.

As an aside I flew US Express (Piedmont or ZW) a few years ago BOS-ROC. Is that mainline or contacted handling? BOS is no longer a US hub or base.

Who does the ground handling doesnt matter if its a hub or not, its done by a station by station basis I believe.

I know when LGA was a focus city, express did their own ground handling, as did DCA.

Tim, What's the fuss about? The NC accomplished getting BETTER scope for the time being, and you have a problem with this why? IMO, this was a win for US fleet and the NC. Why so negative about the job protection for our members in those cities that "may" have been outsourced?

Tim has a problem with this because the current leadership team got it done. You can rest assurred all of the members in the several stations below the mainline threshold would have been outsourced by April 2014. JAX and RNO were the first to be lead to the gallows. The LOA represents a protection of existing work; plain and simple. The fuss comes from those with political agendas. The fuss comes from those in larger stations, who are willing to sacrifice the work in outline stations, for their own gain. It must be duly noted, however, many members in larger stations do not share this narrow minded point of view. It was truly a win for those in the affected stations and the NC. After years of concessions... the LOA represents a move in a positive direction regarding scope and protecting the work. Hoping our NC can build on this momentum.

when i was in bos mainline handled mainline metrojet n the shuttle... express had their own.. in phl piedmont handles all express except the 170/175 aircraft which is done by mainline i do not know if bos is still the split where mainline handles mainline n shuttle and express being seperate or who handles express...

Not to take away from a good thing, but could this LOA have been a condition, demand, or threat from the mediator in response to the companies inability to be prepared for negotiations?

And now your calling all the members " children" maybe you should slow down and think before you speak. I've always told everyone that you are your own worse enemy, as soon as people really get to know you they will see. But why call members children? The same members you ask to support you for District Pres. Wow!

There are protected stations, along with heavy mtc and 7 other stations must be kept open at the company's discretion.

Yes they do. They have those mentioned, and SAN, LAX, SFO, SEA, DFW, ORD, ATL, BDL, TPA, FLL, MCO, and I might be missing one or two. But with those listed, 4 can be cut. Don't spread lies that there's none to cut.

It’s real simple... if you are not a mindless Nelson minion… you are someone else’s “children”! Anyone that has been reading this forum for the last few pages has seen the real CHILD… and that is Nelson himself. His writings have become nearly incomprehensible babble, as his bitterness and disdain for everything, and everybody IAM continues to consume him alive!

Even when the consensus among the posters here are in support of the ND/NC, Timmy continues act like a child! Timmy is embarrassing himself by coming unglued on here for all to see!

One last thing… Do me a favor, and look-up the meaning of the word… “Megalomania”… I think you may find some correlations in the definition to a certain poster here.

My opinion of you is that you are a smart guy who really could help this Union if you were a team player. By team player I mean that you fight for what is right and if it isn't exactly what you wanted you come out with the team. Unfortunately, you take a stance of all or nothing. If you would bury your pride and battle with us as opposed to against us, the possibilities of making this a better place to work would be enormous. I ask you to build the bridge and work with us for the betterment of this Union and all of the employees involved. That is all any of us in leadership positions are doing, trying to make it better. When I have been around other leaders in this Union disagreements happen but in the end we walk out together. I don't agree with anyone 100% of the time, but I don't come out and tell people that we should have done this or that.

This is not my show, it is a team and we make the best decisions possible and stick together. My fight is against wrong and for the membership and I am always trying to figure out a different approach to accomplish goals. Let the past be the past and mend fences and see how you can be a part of making it better. I sincerely mean what I say.
