Here are some facts regarding our 2nd TA.

1. It was worse than the 1st TA. Scope was changed from insourcing work from 49 to 98 flights. We lost our snap backs of shift differential, more holidays, etc.

2. The economy took a dump about 3 months after we voted in the 2nd TA.
Lets see how freedom spins this one, lol!

Maybe you need to read it again

1. maybe i'm not feeling well today , but didn't you just say the company would have come back with a better offer if we had held out , kinda like they did for so and so in 98 like you explained last page ?

by Pat stating that they came back with a WORSE offer , that would tend to indicate that they would not be forthcoming a third time with a BETTER offer ...

2. Does it mean absolutely nothing to you that after we signed the 2nd TA the economy went down the hole ? Are you from some planet where when the economy plummets THAT is the good time to get more wage increases , more weeks of vacation and holiday pay ? (FYI in the real world , when the economy craters , that's not tradionally a good time to get increased benefits )

he is from earth its you that from a whole different planet. the company would have had to come up with a better offer bec of the investors.. instead pos contract was voted in by the likes of you who only truly cared about money..
ive met a number of the folks on the current nc committee including pat i may not know them all that well but with most of the ones i do know i think we have a hell of a fightin chance..

I never said that I think the current NC can't do it ,they have my support ....

all I've been saying is that if they have run into trouble and the company has become intransigent ... it might be a good idea to take the union leader who is most effective at getting results by hook or by crook and throw him into the mix ...

I remain confident in Ron Roth's ability to destroy the status quo .....

Explain how Ron Roth got you the last transition agreement when I posted all the members names.

First of all you cant change the status quo, that is the law under the RLA and Section 6.

If you had a brain you would know Parker doesnt want to deal with anyone, the pilots are going on 8 years with no joint cba.

The FA's voted down one JCBA and it took them 8 years also to reach a JCBA.

M&R have been negotiating for over two years with nothing close, as well as fleet.

So mr wizard, tell us how Ron Roth who barely has any experience in negotiations will do a better job then USAPA, AFA, CWA and the IAM.

Maybe we should just have one big union at US and have your Ron Roth represent everyone since you claim he is the best labor leader around, who couldnt even get elected and was appointed to his former position and then lost it.

Show us his labor history, education, background and skill levels.

As that I don't know him Personally , I cannot give you his life story ....

What I can tell you is what I've learned from watching him ....

Leadership is not about constantly kissing ass , you do it when you need to however .... It's about getting out front and leading , even if that means taking risks ....

Being an effective Union leader is more than just showing up for the meetings and keeping the membership informed , it's about building trust on a personal level ... There are things he could ask of the membership here in PHX that I don't think they would do for any other union leader

I also learned that if you want to get anywhere , you have to fight ....fight the company ,fight whoever you have to in order to get what's right for the membership ... 700 , you talk of labor peace ect ect ... do you know what I learned from Roth ? that this company puts a price on labor discord , it has an actual number , and if that number is lower than the costs of a new contract , then they won't give you a new contract ...nickels and dimes , that seems to be the overriding theme of the company's position ...

I learned that simply rejecting a contract isn't enough ... you talk of labor strife , well if there isn't any strife then the company doesn't care if a contract is rejected ...We didn't have ENOUGH strife last time ...You've got to get out there and agitate , agitate , agitate ... you have to push people out of their comfort zone and make them understand that a new contract is not going to be presented to you on a silver platter by a kind and caring company ..

then apparently you have never learned from him hence you most likely fell asleep or skipped his classes
necrigrad youre not stupid freedum just doesnt have a normal thinking skills brain or anything

Fight the company?

You have to be kidding, you didnt fight the company you rolled over and and let the company layoff your brothers and sisters.

You were the TA poster boy on the "YES" vote crowd, how is that fighting?

And if you say Roth is the next best thing since sliced bread, explain it with facts, dont cop out like you just did.

Guys,

I’ve been following this thread for years… not once has freedom posted anything of any relevance, validity, or value other than the time stamp and date attached to each post… and that comes from the administrator!

There are only two plausible scenarios with him/her/whoever…

1) The person is actually this far out of touch with reality, and suffers from Delusions of Grandeur, and/or Manic Bipolar Disorder(s).

2) The person is actually a Forum Troll attempting to consume bandwidth, and your time as you attempt to argue his/her/whoever’s foolish never ending, open-ended statements.

I find number two as the most likely case, as I can’t see someone with the number one afflictions making it independently through everyday life, as well as maintaining a career with the sensitivities of today’s background follow-ups, and contractual language allowing someone to be physiologically evaluated at virtually anytime…

So… number TWO it IS!
