VOTING NO ON ALMOST ALL THE ITMES EXCEPT THE ONE THAT YOU MUST BE CURRENTLY ON THE PAYROLL TO HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE OR YOU MUST PAY DUES. HOW CAN PEOPLE THAT ARE NO LONGER ON THE PAYROLL HAVE A SAY ON MY WORK RULES, PAY, ETC ......MAKE NO SENSE AT ALL.... IF YOU WANT TO VOTE YOU MUST PAY DUES!!!

READ THE WHOLE RESOLUTION......it is poorly written. If they wrote it as no dues no vote that would be fine. But they say if you don't pay dues you can't vote.....and when you get back off of furlough you have to pay all the back dues, that you didn't pay before......THAT IS TOTAL BS!!!!

Have you ever been on furlough? Do you know what it's like to have no job? I don't care about voting on furlough but to be forced to back pay dues, that is cruel and illogical.

But unfortunately no one will care. They would rather "blame" those who actually take the time to vote (and yes every vote affects you active or not) This is punative and targets one faction of the entire membership. I cannot believe that having watched your voting rights be compromised at almost every election and historic event (the RPA) that anyone would risk losing any part of that right. This is simply a POLL TAX, no more ,no less. Full dues, no, a token payment, yes. This is the one time that the junior f/as at AA actually have the chance to make their voices heard. One can only hope that the usual apathy with the masses will prevail and those most affected will actually mark that ballot.

Nothing new if your out on sick/matenity ect you must kep up with your dues, I was out on an IOD for 68 day's this year and I was sent a APFA dues bill and I worte those checks asap. My MD wascopleatly surprisedI still had a job after being out so long(broke my elbow/sever edema to the bone marrow) and 10yrs ago on a IOD that took my out about 9 months that doctor was surprised as well that I still could keep my job. Both doctors were concernd and thought of returning me back earlier than I should, I explaned I had 5 yrs per my contract..thank you APFA.

I couldn't seem to find how much the new type of balloting/voting would save the membership.

Fly safe ,

Boston

So you would like it the those returning from furlough pay back dues! So why should they not have a say since they will be paying? I tend to think of APFA as kind of an organization that can never be honest.

You might want to check on that. Just flew a trip with someone who was on IOD for 2 months. APFA sent her a bill but her supv said she wasn't required to pay union dues on IOD. She owes APFA 2 months of union dues and has no intention of paying. After all, it was an IOD and her manager said no, you don't pay on IOD.

I agree 100%!

The changes are only to keep those in Useless off the line and to continue their cushy lifestyle. After all, GlAAding has a luxurious apartment and car we all pay for in DFW. She makes $93,000 as union president. She resides in CT, just outside of Greenwich. We all know that part of CT is $$$$$!

Like a supervisor knows anything about who and who doesn't pay union dues! I hope she doesn't pay and gets fired. Thats what happens. Simple.

Asking f/a's who are on Military Leave to pay dues and back dues upon return is truly despicable. Laura is simply don't cry for me Argentina. Evita knew how to steal more money than Laura and she and her cohorts get paid very well. Just look at the LM-2's.

how nice of you to wish that on someone. Well, as of yesterday, she's been flying for a year since she returned from IOD. Still gainfully employed.

I have no sympathy for people who don't pay their bills. Period. Give it time. If the treasurer is doing their job then she will eventually pay or lose her job.

jersey, so you think our Military Reserves who are protecting you and all the rest of of us should pay dues??? Should they repay these dues??? I say HELL NO!!!!

I say you need a reality check. I have friends serving and risking their lives and I would NOT ask them for one red cent. Res:8 is very very wrong. If I am on a IOD through no fault of my own and who knows how long that will be. You want them to pay back dues????? Do you have a heart??? Forget the TWA vote.

First of all not every F/A on military leave is out fighting in a war. The military is like their second career . It's there choice and more power to them. So why must the APFA lose money ??? The union is a business and has expenses that need to be paid. If you are receiving union representation in any way then you must pay your share. Plain and simple, no more free rides..... Pay up or move on...

Mr. 767 said "The union is a business and has expenses that need to be paid."

You are soooo right. Let's see, trip removals, elaborate accommodations for meetings, PR and the list goes on. Please spare me.

As far as I am concerned, anybody actively serving in our Military should be exempt from paying dues. It's the right thing to do.

I voted NO on all the resolutions that this sham of a Union purposed. Excuse me, I meant AASSociation Country Club.
