I voted no and am not celebrating.
The whistle has just been blown to kick off the start of a brutal and bloody game that will probably last for several years and will directly be the fault of AA management.
APA surrendered to binding arbitration given the circumstances of Chapter 11. AA Management declined and offered a overeaching land grab that destroyed what was in many cases, the product of 50 years of collective bargaining. They wanted to lock us into another decade of exacting concessions, yet somehow, they just quite haven't found the time to address their own compensation and benefit standards that they will live under even though they were responsible for the millions of fines and their marketing failures. They even hired a "consultant" to determine this, something that should have been done in a morning meeting 6 mionths ago.
Maybe they can divert attention with another "lie flat in two years" press conference. (Just forgot that our competitors have lie flat seats today)
