Kev, when what you say is right...Dapoes comes back with something that makes absolutely no sense...

So I guess what you said did hit home.

BTW expect another meaningless post shortly...

Dapoes: Why can't you comment on what jalbalpa posted that happened back in 1999/2000 regarding the drug testing fiasco?
This is serious business. Why do you just come back with these type of comments? If someone did this on NoWayAFA Facebook (from the pro-union side), they would be skewered!

Because I do no know enough about the event (yet) to make a comment on.

Because I do no know enough about the event (yet) to make a comment on.

Then please read up and let us know. Isn't that what your cohorts on NoWayAFA preach all the time? "Get the facts", etc...
I have a feeling that some don't want to investigate this incident because they know they won't like the outcome. I mean, isn't that why the gentleman, Palmer, on Facebook skewed the issue to be about a pro-union LAX f/a "lying" about Yasuko's settlement rather than the issue at hand?
That's why I think this NoWayAFA group is no better than the AFA die-hards that they rail against. They are exactly the same; just on different sides of the issue.
What galls me is that the NoWay group is trying to seduce the NW f/a's with their sanctimonious attitude. That somewhow they are different, tell the truth, don't skew issues, etc..
The good thing is that I think many NW f/a's who take the time to read through those postings will see through them.
I know one thing. I have been around DL a long time and while I know that there are members of that group that have researched the issues, work hard/fly a full schedule, there are many more I recognize that have often over the years done "special assignments"..such as uniform fittings/showings, facilitating mandatory meetings such as the Velvet Rope, interviewing prospective f/a's, product-testing flights, former supervisors, etc... I'm sure you'll tell me that they are just proud and excited to work at Delta, and that may be, but aren't some of them a little worried that maybe they won't have the direct access to be "teacher's pet" any longer if a contract is voted in?
I mean, I've put in for some of the "special assignments" before and when I'm not chosen and see who is....it's always the same faces. And I think you know who I mean.(PS: I'm a good f/a, put together in my uniform..in fact, I was used in one of Delta's print ads way, way back...probably before you were out of elementary school.) I believe one of the NoWayAFA'ers , Ms. Kelley, let it slip in one of her many postings when she used the term "the core Delta f/a's"... Core, huh? What are the rest of us? Husks? :)

the issue to be about a pro-union LAX f/a
I did not read any posts or comments from an "LAX f/a"? or was this just hearsay that someone made this comment?

I would have liked to read that individual comments for both sides..are they available on another forum?

*POOF!* The Facebook page has magically disappeared.

Was it something I said?

I read last night that it was removed because of the "nasty" things that were said on "this and other boards" about Michael.
C'mon! It was removed because it was in poor taste and they know it. Now 3 weeks later the story changes.
I ONLY bring this up to challenge the credibility of the webmasters of that site. There's nothing wrong with making mistakes. We all make them. But what bothers me is the air of superiority and self-rightousness some (not all) of the supporters of that page have.

One can say the very same thing about some people (not all) here as well.
when I first read that quote you replied to ..I misread "superiority" and thought it said.. "super-seniority" and was thinking.. oh no we are NOT.. pulling that rabbit out the hat now.., they already said.. DOH..

by the way...speaking of the righteous... a question?

does your real name happen to be satan?

Dapoes,
I have to agree with Luke here, you should really read up on what happened
to Yasuko Ishikawa. You can probably just google her.
Her story, along with several others made the national press. Though
she is back flying, Delta has not , and probably will never admit their wrong doing.
It is disheartning how she was treated.

And why would you say something like that dig?

What I was referring to was, people here on this very forum, are the majority of "pro union", look down upon those with differing (anti-union) opinions. Much like what Luke is referring to with the FB group in regards to people who are "Pro AFA". So I find in ironic that he takes issue with opposing opinions, when he and others here (the majority) are guilty of the same acts of "superiority and self-righteousness".

And why would you say something like that dig?
oh for garsh sakes.. its like this, there is always one in every crowd..hey c'mon and lighten up, if you can dish it you certainly should be able to take it..furthermore, I am just kidding, but is that the same with you? why would I say something like that? why dont you ask yourself the same before..

you post..

be specific..

you might want to think about what you just wrote.

I was not aware of that story until it was mentioned and I read it, thankfully her good name was cleared. how terrible for someone innocent to go through something like that for doing nothing.
