Obama goes skeet shooting 'all the time'

President Barack Obama says he has not only fired a gun, but has done it regularly.

"In fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time," the president told The New Republic. "Not the girls, but oftentimes guests of mine go up there.

"And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations.. And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake."

Obama said he understands why folks in rural areas who grew up hunting might be very protective of that tradition and their gun rights, but he said guns in urban areas present a much different reality.

"So it’s trying to bridge those gaps that I think is going to be part of the biggest task over the next several months," Obama said. "And that means that advocates of gun control have to do a little more listening than they do sometimes."

I think the idea of land invasions is something that is long gone. China and Russia are the only countries I can thinknof who could when dream of such a idea. China is not going to do it because they rely on us to buy their stuff. Logically neither could do it. We have ICBM's if it gets too bad.

No t like the house hold weapons dis anyone much good in WWII seeing that it took the combined allied forces 5 years to win.

No need for bullets anymore, China/Russia could crush us financially in a heart beat and we'd beg for mercy.

You think you are going to go up against the US armed forces with a few hand guns and semi-autos? Should the armed forces turn on the civilians, I do not think we have much of a chance. Feel free to take a run at them, I'm heading out of the country.
