So, basically you want a police state.

So building on the above comment from another thread and regarding the comment from that NRA head about wanting to place Armed Police Officers in school, I say fine, go ahead and put them there.

The next shooter will find kids to shoot at in a daycare center. In turn, they wind up having to put armed police officers there too.

Also, another shooter could go board a school bus and go on a rampage there. Unless, of course, they are planning to put an armed police officer on every school bus as well.

Then another shooter will just go to a children's hospital to go ahead an wipe out a whole bunch of kids.

I see, so eventually we will have to have armed security personnel everywhere, regardless, because, for now, they think it is a "they're shooting our kids" problem vs what it actually is "the GUN problem." Once the crazies figure out that they can find kids in other places, we will have to expand that "Armed Guards in Schools" project, eventually getting to the same situation that I described above - A POLICE STATE.

You Sir are the joke. BTW the last mass murder in TX that I've found was in 1966 in Austin, TX. By my count that's 46 years ago. Pretty long time between events considering how all those guns are around. See Tree the problem with a "Feel Good" argument is you have no facts to support your opinon.

Over half of the assaults and robberies were conducted with a gun. Murder is murder whether conducted en-mass or individually. Your 1966 date struck me as a bit suspicious so I did a bit of research my self. Took 1 minute to find three (including the 1966 one) mass murders in Texas. Perhaps you should ask Paul how to use Google. This does not negate the fact that 700 people were murdered with guns in 2011 and that nearly 8,000 people were murdered with guns in the US.You seem to be saying that is if they were not murdered with others that they do not count. I am sure the families are touched. I do not understand why murders have to be en-mass to matter?

I know it's a little taboo for the left to talk about but just watch the first 5 minutes of your local news and you'll quickly determine where the vast amount of your murders come from. . . . the black community seems to love to kill each other. Texas has a firearm death rate of 10.9 per 100k. Washington DC has the most strict firearm laws in the land and they have a firearms death rate at 21.7 per 100K. What gives? Oh wait . . . .

I say we have monthly psychiatric evaluations for every person in the US. If they don't pass the test then lock 'em up. Or even better, have the GOOD guys with guns shoot them dead, cuz they would have been bad guys down the line anyways and the jails/mental institutions would have been overcrowded, costing the GOOD gun-owning guys too much in taxes.
