The Big Bang theory? Or the Bangity, Bang bang theory?

While we're on a witch hunt instead of a search non knee jerk feel good solutions. Perhaps it's time to add another witch to be burned at the stake along with gun manufacturers.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/16/i-am-adam-lanzas-mother-mental-illness-conversation_n_2311009.html What is/was Big Pharma's role in all of this. Want to bet a beer at the Sea Shell Lounge that "we the people" never see a published autopsy report?

Zombie Apocalypse?

Right up there with "The Jetsons get a Nucular Bomb."

Dude, you and I payed for it.

The success of the initial blog post has spurred many other products and partnerships, allowing CDC to reach a broad section of the population with an engaging and important topic.

There are all kinds of emergencies out there that we can prepare for. Take a zombie apocalypse for example. That’s right, I said z-o-m-b-i-e a-p-o-c-a-l-y-p-s-e. You may laugh now, but when it happens you’ll be happy you read this, and hey, maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two about how to prepare for a real emergency.

CDC has a fun way of teaching about emergency preparedness. Our graphic novel, "Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic" demonstrates the importance of being prepared in an entertaining way that people of all ages will enjoy.

Just accept the fact that you won't have any guns when the zombies come calling.

You had to go back nearly 100 years to find that example. That should say something.
So, only learn lessons from some of the past !

And THAT is EXACTLY whats Going to Happen !!!!!!!!!!!
Ever heard "You can take my gun from my cold dead fingers"?

Every school should have a certain amount of armed teachers trained and qualified in addition to on scene law enforcement. It would be a start.
More armed citizens would be a second.....
Yep !
Then why did he wear body armor?
Why did he dye his hair orange?

Of course you miss the point that the use of bombs is quite rare and that we kill more people with guns in 5 days than both expolsions.

So the school is armed. Great. What are your plans to prevent the gun man from getting a gun in the first place and entering a public location where lives are at risk. We are not just talking about schools. We are talking about parking lots where a member of Congress might be meeting constituents, or a theater where people are watching a movie or a shopping mall or any number of other locations. Once the person with gun is where they want to be, it's a bit late. The likely hood of someone getting killed increases.

So you have any ideas on how to prevent the occurrence in the first place or is this all you have?

If we are going to talk about despots

All the instances you cite went down with mentally unstable people. There is the root cause of the problem. What can we do to stop their access to weapons without infringing on the law abiding populace?

Of course , you miss the point, that if guns are confiscated, bombs made, with easily available product's, will not be rare !

Looks like concealed carry permit apps are going up all over the country since Sandy Hook.

DENVER (CBS4) – The day after the shooting in Connecticut a lot of people in Colorado tried to buy a gun.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says it received 4,154 requests for background checks from potential buyers on Saturday. That was so many the CBI couldn’t process them all and the backlog grew to nearly 18 hours. The Unit could only process 3,001 checks on Saturday.

Just think, if there was one person in that school that day with a firearm, the outcome could have been much different.
