Yet nobody died and UNARMED people beat back a guy who just fired 10 shots at them.
Wow, at least it wasn't suicide....
They'll stick the parents with negligence.
Doubt it. Not very many punishments that can replace the loss of a child. On the upside, they CAN feel safer from home invaders, which statistically will occur about as often as an accidental shooting
Law don't see it quite like that....stay tuned.....happens all the time. DA looking already in your link if you noticed....
Wonder Dog has a "Mace" safe.............no ones going to waste their time trying to steal it !It's my personal property you idiot! But I see your point, a criminal would never steal a gun safe full of guns, would they? What, no personal story about criminals breaking into your house and leaving the gun safe behind?
Had a 3 year old here in KC that shot himself because the homeowner, in order to have the gun handy should a home invasion occur, kept it in the sofa. Kid found it and acciedntly shot himself. They "looked into" neglignece, but figured no amount of jail time could outdo the punishment they already got. DA "looks into" a lot - nothing gonna happen.
But if having the gun available to a 14 year old is negligence, what about that 11 year old in Houston that fought off intruders with the AR15? Was that dad guilty of negligence as well?

Not if that 11 year old were train to use it, should he be the last line of defense for himself !
Wonder if parents locked up their guns back in the wild west days and if not, how many accidental shootings took place ?
We do not live in the wild west. We live in 2013. Do you leave your house and car unlocked? My parents did when they lived in FL and NY in the 40' and 50's. We don't do that anymore now do we? I'd be willing to bet people lock their doors in that town in GA where 'everyone has to have a gun'.

THe gun case was still unlocked in both cases. In the case of the sofa storage of a gun - one dead 3 year old - no charges filed.11 year old didn't wack a family member.........killed an intruder, seems he was trained/prepared in advance.......Sorry you have a problem with some one defending his home and another finding a gun they weren't aware of in the first place.....big difference except in the heinous mind of a liberal.
Train a kid with weapons in the house and he responds in kind....ok
Leave a weapon hidden with young obviously untrained/unaware children in the house, negligent homicide my man.

Ain't that the truth.
