Another School Massacre

Well Dell...that doesn't speak well of the mental capacity of home invaders in Ponca City. First...the continue to tries to get in after people make themselves known. Then once in, on the tape, he apparently had a good 30 seconds to take the first shot at the homeowner, but didn't....was he really so stupid as to continue for 5 minutes trying to get into a house and NOT have a gun?

Bet he didn't know where the homeowner was.....you wouldn't in my house.

Bet he didn't know where the homeowner was.....you wouldn't in my house.
All the dumber. If it were my house and someone was shaking the door trying to get it, I would call 911, then flip on the outside lights and yell "what the f** do you think you are doing.". Did this guy stay hidden, waiting for someone to break in? Actually, my house has motion sensing lighting, so at least the idiot would be well lit without me having to turn on the porch light.

I guess the guys foot upon the homeowners door said about all one needs to determine its not going good......cops are on the way and its up to you until they get there......

And you are inside flipping on lights, screaming and possibly accelerating the invasion and maybe even drawing fire....go for it my man, go for it. I'll give him a heads up to the police then I'm hunkering down to defend my life.

Yet nobody died and UNARMED people beat back a guy who just fired 10 shots at them.

Really ?
#1 Did those people really have a choice, but to fight back ?
#2 Wonder how brazen the attacker would have been, if one of the victims was packin' ?
#3 Obviously, the attacker was a poor shot !
#4 Wonder how many of the victims are packin' now ?
#5 The only thing the victims had on their side, that night, was L-U-C-K and Divine intervention !

  1. Guns have only two enemies rust and politicians.
  2. It’s always better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
  3. Cops carry guns to protect themselves, not you.
  4. Never let someone or something that threatens you get inside arms length.
  5. Never say, “I’ve got a gun.” If you need to use deadly force, the first sound they hear should be the safety clicking off.
  6. The average response time of a 911 call is 23 minutes; the response time of a .357 is 1400 feet per second.
  7. The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always win – cheat if necessary.
  8. Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets . . . You may get killed with your own gun, but he’ll have to beat you to death with it, because it’ll be empty.
  9. If you’re in a gunfight:
– If you’re not shooting, you should be loading.
– If you’re not loading, you should be moving.
– If you’re not moving, you’re dead.
  1. In a life and death situation, do something . . . It may be wrong, but do something!
  2. If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you have a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?
  3. You can say ‘stop’ or ‘alto’ or any other word, but a large bore muzzle pointed at someone’s head is pretty much a universal language.
  4. You cannot save the planet, but you may be able to save yourself and your family.

Gun deaths are shaped by race in America. Whites are far more likely to shoot themselves, and African Americans are far more likely to be shot by someone else.
The statistical difference is dramatic, according to a Washington Post analysis of data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A white person is five times as likely to commit suicide with a gun as to be shot with a gun; for each African American who uses a gun to commit suicide, five are killed by other people with guns.

Suicides and homicides are highly charged human dramas. Both acts shatter families, friends and sometimes communities. But the reactions are as different as black and white, and those differences shape the nation’s divided attitudes toward gun control.
For instance, African Americans tend to be stronger backers of tough gun controls than whites. A Washington Post-ABC News poll this month found that about three-quarters of blacks support stronger controls, compared with about half of whites. The poll also found that two-thirds of city dwellers support stronger gun controls, while only about a third of rural residents back them.

Gun homicides, especially mass shootings, tend to spark demands for change. Although suicides account for almost twice as many gun deaths as homicides nationwide, they tend to be quiet tragedies, unnoticed outside the hushed confines of family and friends.
Suicide is “absent from the discussion of gun policy,” said Daniel Webster, director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research in Baltimore. “The availability of firearms does indeed increase the risk of suicide, but most people don’t see it that way.”

well versed enough but dont feel I need a law degree to discuss this here. the problem is obvious. you provided the most telling statistic that causes this problem. And you claim you dont want to lift a finger to keep your guns falling into the wrong hands.

The laws will change in our lifetime because of your attitude which is shared by, oh, what was that number...46% of the population if memory serves from a recent poll.

So your home is open to the public and everyone is welcome? Fool! Why don't you turn your nitwit legal logic on the criminals breaking into homes and stealing guns and other personal property and stay the phuck out of my business? I don't have children in my home and my wife is well versed on how to use a firearm, no need to put them in a safe where they are useless in an emergency.

If someone breaks into my home and steals my gun/s, I report it to the police and buy another one. If that stolen gun is used to jack you or your wife up, that's your problem, not mine! Have a nice day.

I think it is ironic that they acknowledge that 60% of guns used on the commission of a crime are stolen weapons yet do not want to do anything to address the problem. They want all the freedom but none of the responsibility. This same song and dance has been played for decades and I do not see anything changing.

It's my personal property you idiot! But I see your point, a criminal would never steal a gun safe full of guns, would they? What, no personal story about criminals breaking into your house and leaving the gun safe behind?
