Who going to pay!!!!!! AMR, APA or both?
The pie is getting smaller for the TWU

Did you even read the story? The TWA pilots sued their union, ALPA, for faiing them. That's not AA's problem and it's not APA's problem.

Hard to make a deal when the company offers 3%, 1%, 1%, and 1% for four years.

The company's scope offer was just as "appealing."

They are still far apart on the big issues.
I'm assuming there has been no movement on the big scope issues either?
.
AA can't sign a contract that will satisfy labor and still reduce costs to the levels AA mgmt needs... which is why labor would just as soon keep the status quo going as long as possible.

That has been the problem since 2008.
So why hasn't the superior management filed Chapter 11?

I was being sarcastic ....... I think if the pilots reject the coming TA, AMR will file BK. You surely wont see a raise for a long long time. I hope it all works out for all of us.

Even if the pilots ok the T/A it might be part of a pre-package BK you might want to think about that option as wiell. Kkagefthe

As would the company.

What's going to happen if the company and pilots don't settle before the airbuses arrive? No pay scale for them, can't fly them..

....The only one that MIGHT pay is ALPA....The lawsuit is agains ALPA for not representing them properly...

The TWU will oust the APA and then there will be plenty of pilots.

The Airbus don't show up until 2013; the pilots and the company will reach agreement before then. The 777-323s show up next year - and the company will need agreement from the APA to fly them as well.

Clever, now when will the mechanic and related get their T/A?

Is it 3-1-1-1over four years, becomes amendable in 2012 or 0-0-0-0-3-1-1-1 over 8 years and becomes amendable in 2016?
