AMR/APA might be nearing a deal!

Hey now. You know that nothing is true until posted by him. Remember his "US/United is a done deal" posts? Was that before or after his "DL/US merger has been finalized" posts?

Yeah.................they know there's no concern over the twu/M&R ever striking or winning any major monetary gains.
You guys know the pecking order in this industry...

The company's scope offer was just as "appealing."

BK judge will give better raises than that. I say let them file.

Uh, which unions got a raise in bankruptcy?

I must say this is the illusion some union leaders are conveying to the members. Being in this business for many decades and having acquaintances who have worked for other carriers over the same decades, I can say from THEIR experiences, NO ONE FARED BETTER IN BK!
There are actually some members believing the local leadership when they tell them a BK judge will treat us better than the company because we are near the bottom in compensation.

HOGWASH!

Having said this, one could argue that AMTRAK fared better after 8 years without a contract!

None but I can guarantee you no one is going to accept 1% raise. The majority of the employees rather take a pay
cut from a bankruptcy judge than take further concessions from this innep management team.

Also of interest is fact that the linked artcile was published in July and this is November.
Hardly possible this is why "they are back at the table"

Amazing how peeps read into something that is not real.
 
As a matter of fact, in the United Bankruptcy the Court (actually the creditors) approved bonuses for Executives & Managers that totaled in the millions. So, some people do make out better but we're at the bottom of the totem pole.
