That's exactly what you're doing.

Capital is already doing a good job with divide & conquer; they don't need your help.

To ALL the non maintenance class and craft workers here on this board just a question or two?

You all seem so wrapped up with what we want (the Mechanics), what about you? Don't you have your own stuff within the TWU, Aren't you fed up with what has happened to your class and craft as well?

Hasn't the TWU hurt your families by what we have all lost?

Why don't you start a thread so you can ***** and complain within that.  You come here in a thread which is about AMFA, the union we the mechanics want to switch too.
It has nothing to do with your work group what so ever.

Any Vote by the association IAM/TWU and what will happen with your class and craft has issues as well. Discuss them there. Find out what your fellow workers want from the union. What they are planning to do when it comes time to vote union/association/non-union?

What the mechanics at other carriers think and what strife if any is between O/H and the line guys in for us isn't it? It will not effect you at all.

As many here have told all of you many times and it gets spun in just as many ways,  we don't hate your work group and what ever else is said. The mechanics just want their own union. That is the bottom line, every thing else is just fluff and bs on this board.

many of you corrupt the treads so that it becomes a pissing match and then again it all gets locked again.

As I have asked a few if you like or hate the TWU and what may happen with this association create a thread so you and your fellow workers can share whats happening there. If need be you can reference AMFA threads for info so it does not have to be typed over and over.

The Pilots are on their own, so are the Flight attendants, and the SIMM techs and others have filed with the NMB to be on their own as well. Why is what the mechanics want such an issue with you guys I don't get it?

AMFA for the mechanics at US/AA in 2014

Miami, that has got to be the most hypocritical post I have ever seen on this board. Nothing else even needs to be said!

If what I said was hypocritical then why is it that if you look here on the AA side of this thread there are few threads dedicated to ramp/fleet or other work groups but if you go to the USAiways site there are separate threads and the number of hits or reads on the ramp site is much greater since there seems to more of an issue with them then here at AA..  The mechanics there have little to say, its like they are just defeated.

Here the mechanics are the ones posting and zero from the ramp/fleet on your issues. The pass riding/stock/uniforms/prefunding this effects everyone.
Those threads are not the ones I was talking about. But as discussed earlier with you Maintenance and what we are trying to do is for us.

So the distraction of sifting thru all the post by non maintenance fluff just gets old.
"YES" we know about the ignore feature but if you are not logged in its all exposed isn't it?

Having the back and forth with members of maintenance about which union and the issues that surround it is one thing but to constantly have to defend our point with the many others who it does not effect is tiring.  NWA SWA and delta have nothing to do with the fight for a new union to represent the AA/US mechanics, now does it?

many non maintenance posters bait guys to get them pissed then they say something about your class and craft then many say see the AMFA guys don't want you or they are elitist.

There is so much going on with how the NMB will rule and whether we will get a vote, or be able to file the cards since the Association filed. trying to get our own work group involved is hard enough. Many just don't care that is why the No Union issue has come up.

That is why I said what I did.

Right on AMFAinMIAMI. I don't get why the other work groups are so concerned with what we want.

Travis what I am guessing you are saying is that you would prefer not to have any other units outside of your class and craft of licensed mechanics be a part of your negotiations or your representation? Does that also include OH?

If you are saying that then I have to commend you for your honesty.
OH is a A&P (AMT position) they are My PROFESSIONAL LICENSED BROTHERS AND SHOULD BE PAID THE SAME AS ANY AMT IN THE SYSTEM LINE/OH SAME. Is all this fuss because you feel that with out the MECHANIC you will not do as good at contract time and why is this?? And IF Not.... Why do you give a rats a$$ what union we are in unless you think it's for your BEST INTERESTS AND BENEFITS.
