Refusing to pay dues in record numbers? No, thats the twu stupid. If NWA AMFA members are so disgrunted with their union, why isn't a card drive being conducted to oust them? Its been 7 years that AMFA dumped the iam in the trash at NWA.
Again cio, the iam card drive, its not happening. Same with a twu drive....not happening.

What is happening is your twu has another AA/AMFA card drive to try and stop. So polish up your twu coffin, dig in the twu coffers for the next $2 million. Get all your retirees, stock clerks, dead people, felons, punks, drunks, cowards, Teamsters, farm animals, management friends, and whoever else you need, pay them well for their support.......AMFA card drive 2 is well under way.

I recently heard that there are several drives towards Agency Fee Status and Hand Pay among TWU Title III. Has anyone else heard this? If so, how many are doing it and where? There must be a considerable number because isnt one of the TWU restructuring proposals to develop a computerized tracking system for tracking hand pay?

Well it seems Amfa has stooped to new lows, They fought long and hard to have the right to represent the fuelers at United and now want to outsource them!

Nice twist of 'factual disinformation'.
Fueler class was 'dictated' to AMFA by the NMB.
Since then, AMFA has been trying to get the people under the AMFA class and craft while being hindered by sidestepping by the 'feulers themselves', the IAM, and the company.

As it is clear the 'fueler's ' do not want to be AMFA represented, then why should we bust our a$$ trying to protect them?

They want the IAM, then let the IAM represent them.

I will also add that this will not fly with the AMFA M&R either.
This 'pig' is going to Da'Judge for his interpretation as well.
Someone has to make a stand in this 'race to the bottom' and it is clear the the AFL/CIO affiliation has not helped anyone with their 'strength in numbers' bull####!!!

AMFA, short lived at UAL because they delivered!!!
TWU, soon to be gone............

Democracy is out there..........If you choose to see it!!!

Ask the IAM Represented Members at US Air how much the AFL-CIO affiliation meant to them: DURING AN ELECTION YEAR?

Never Mind the fact that it was Sen. Ted Kennedy that proposed and pushed S.2282 allowing the airlines and the steel industries to CONTINUE SHORTING their pension funding obligations while both industries continued to fund Management Retirements.

Hey! Somebody helped get cio from the twu rock he's been hiding under for the past few months! He never ceases to amaze with his twu 514 bullshtein from the Pine St. Kremlin.

You are thee demented one cio, numero uno.... with the nerve to talk about concessions. You need to look at the current AA twu contract (laugh) and the previous 20+ years of twu contracts before you make yourself sound even more detatched from reality.

From talking with U Air Guys in MX, it seems that they are only NOW being asked to shed benefits the TWU at AA shed years ago!

So, Concessions are okay under amfa watch? It continues to amaze me how Amfa is willing to shed jobs!

If I understand correctly, Amfa is getting even with the fuelers? Is this correct?

Do you mean like the way the TWU "got even" with line maintenance by going after shift differential and Holiday pay?

What AMFA concessions are you babbling about? AMFA has not gutted any of their contracts and claimed "They were going straight into Chapter 7 liquidation" like Do-little did. Do you remember this cio? Of course you don't.

So you believe AMFA or any union wants or agrees to layoffs? Did you ride the short bus to school? LISTEN: UNIONS DO NOT LAY PEOPLE OFF!!!! GET IT?

The twu gutted our contract....50+ years of twu negotialtions gone....

.....and don't forget, we have thousands on the street ALONG with the worst twu sellout in history. Go crawl back under your rock cio.

This is picture of a United Airlines 777 that we are doing the return to leaser check, the company that owns the airplane contracted AA and negotiated the contract for the check. I don't think they wanted AMFA mechanics to do the work. Hey United mechanics what happened to "full pay till the last day" ? Seems you softened your position once again. What a bargaining powerhouse!!! The TWU keeping its members employed!
