Oh OH.

Nations unemployment rate @ 5.3% and dropping. (whats next, in the 4 percentile ) ?

MORE  anti-Obama, GOP  BULL SHIIT......Trashed  !

Nice try, but unemployment dropped more due to people leaving the workforce....

Here's the ever-radical Bloomberg viewpoint:

The U.S. labor market took one step forward and one back in June as job creation advanced while wages stagnated and the size of the labor force receded.

The addition of 223,000 jobs followed a 254,000 increase in the prior month that was less than previously estimated, a Labor Department report showed Thursday in Washington. The jobless rate fell to a seven-year low of 5.3 percent as people left the workforce.
Fewer jobs month over month, and 420,000 people quit working.

I can post links and graphics, too....

Jesus,
Looking at your  charts, I wonder WHAT HAPPENED in 2008   ??????????
Uh, 2008 as a whole was relatively flat. The housing driven market crashes & bank failures in 2008 certainly spooked investors, but in general didn't result in large scale job losses.

You really should be asking what happened in late 2008 and January 2009. Post Obama election, things fell off the cliff and still haven't recovered.

How much of the stock market "doubling" resulted in job creation? Did it help housing values recover to where they were in 2007?

Nope.

Which was more important -- 401(K) recovery or housing values?

I'll give you a hint: home equity is (or was) where the largest percentage of most working people's actual wealth lies.

Having lots of value in the 401(K) didn't do anything for people who were underwater in their mortgages for 5-7 years.

Even now, home prices are really only back to 2004-2005 levels. Essentially, no increase in value over the last 10 years. How many stocks held zero growth when looked at over a 10 year period?...

You get banned again or are you just using your alias to make it seem like there is one person who agrees with you?

E, are you seriously going to trot out the 'state of the union is bad' speech just in time for election season?

Good luck with that. You and the other 25 or so Republican presidential candidates may try this to no avail.

Hint: cheering for the economy to be bad, or even worse, does not endear voters to your cause.

Who was in office when the housing mess started to TANK. ?
And,
Who lent people, (people who NEVER should have got a loan) , the money ?
and why was the money lent ?

answers below.

1. GWB

2. The Banks

3. They lent the money because they knew they could ' sell - off '  those worthless loans and 'bottom line' STILL make money.
