well...the flight attendants union told us that the 2014 contract added $193 million of value per year to the prior contract.
the numbers are secret? the company has to release such info to shareholders. labor expense(s).
as far as $550 million per year for us - it's a guess. we were told that to get all twu members on lus/iam insurance, it would cost aa $24 million more per year. over 5 years, add $125 million to the value of our deal. when i talk about numbers, i would not include buyout money...isn't that also a special write-off, for the company? i could see aa trying to hoodwink the assoc. with such numbers, but i'd think they're smarter than that.
labor x capital and outlawing unions? like i said, it's the 1%ers & corporate america's dream. we aren't too far off from deep REM ecstasy for that lot.
