by breaking down the numbers, we will be able to see exactly what percentages of revenue & income come to us...compared to dl/ua and even southwest, if they are used as a measuring stick.

I actually don’t look myself to focus on those other Companies even though the Airline does and of course individuals who only want to compare themselves to the highest paid they can find out there and not the Median paid.

I prefer to look at Nationwide averages and what the cost of living is like where I live and work to gauge if I’m doing well or not.

i agree, but that is the beauty of AMT work...they have that kind of power. i'm sure that these guys double-triple check before delaying a flight or even cancelling for a mechanical.

the company knows this...no secret. you can be angry, but you have to be professional when taking those steps.
it could be said that maybe mx has been causing meyham but the company responded by being erratic in negotiations. According to the official update, negotiations have now been reduced to a verbal roundtable chanting session. And nobody is singing.

to me, this is a no win for the company. AMT holds the cards. the company will not cut off it's nose to spite it's face. in my station, all i hear from passenger service and management is that this summer is like the summer of 2016. lots and lots of delays.

like trump's china tariffs...china imports so little from the usa that china has run out of things for retaliatory tariffs.

trump will win.
AMTs will win and will drag us across the finish line on their coat tails.

I'm not seeing any MTC action here just thunderstorms a lot of them

The Company telegraphed their intent to not change the IAM Medical until 2020 all the way back in March if you watched their video. Besides this could be more of the reason the Company is “trying” to get people out of these better plans.

BTW Metal I can’t wait till those new LAA rates come out publicly and then maybe more people will begin to support paying better rates than what we pay now?
We all know costs ALWAYS go up. Should we roll over and accept it? NO!
But I will say it again. I doubt very much the company will NOT reverse course and give 120,000 + people the cheaper LUS medical.
I'm not saying I enjoy paying higher premiums, but I'm being realistic here.

And how do you feel with that 2020 guarantee that LUS keeps the cheaper medical while LAA people continually get screwed?

And how would you feel if we were to get a T/A tomorrow which, if voted in, would result in LAA medical for everyone but guaranteed LUS people the cheaper medical for the life of the contract?
How would you react?

First off I’m not concerned about 120,000 people, only 30,000. When the Pilots negotiate you know damn well they don’t bargain with anyone else in their minds but their OWN. (As they ABSOLUTELY should)

Anyway the Medical is nothing but a shell game. Raise your wages, get some of it back in higher medical or productivity.

If the Value Plan goes up to over $700 per month and AA says they’re covering 79% of the total cost then that means the Family Plan is supposedly costing them an average of $42,000 per enrollee per year?

Give me a break. Do you want to buy a Bridge I’m selling?

Metal I have no clue how many times I have to write this? The truth is I REALLY couldn’t give a Rats Ass what anyone else in this Company makes. I’m not in competition in my life.

You’re going to go up to around $125,000 per year when this is all over. How in the freakin World can you consider YOURSELF being screwed?

BTW you keep saying that the IAM is holding us (Not me) hostage because of their Medical. It sounds to me far more likely that the TWU (The Majority) is holding THEM hostage on our Scope?
 
And I guess it doesn’t matter how many times a lot of you have to read this from all over the place that the IAM Medical “”””cost”””” is NOT holding anyone hostage and it’s absolutely SCOPE that is the MAJOR issue.

The Company would bend over in a snap of the fingers on Medical if we gave them the language to get rid of half our total numbers over time.

Wake up, smell the coffee, get with the program, McFly. Jeez Louise. SMH.

I guess it's ok for pilots to concerned ONLY about pilots, but when mechanics seek to do the same, all we get from you is ridicule.

OUR negotiations are being held hostage by LUS medical...
Their concern is MEDICAL.....Ours is SCOPE....They already have higher outsourcing than we do while we have higher medical costs!

Nothing a trip to a bankruptcy court couldn't fix.
Do you truly believe we will ALL get the LUS medical?
