So, am I getting this right. The Knights who say "Ni" are now the Knights who say "Ekke Ekke Ekke Ekke Ptang Zoo Boing (unintelligible muttering that sounds like "gdgbgd" )"? Everythings still the same, all they want is a shrubbery?

Neg. The shrubbery's come and gone. Now?..They're now evidently insistent upon trying to chop down the tallest tree in the forest with a Herring..and..the saga of threats and BS continues...sigh.

Of course..we COULD actually try getting along for a change, and striving to work together in at least some fashion..as radical a notion as that is.

I prefer this quote:
"Hopkins said he doesn't think the new union can overturn the arbitrator's decision simply because another union was decertified. He predicts a rough road ahead."

I'm sure that you would prefer someone elses' "material". Your own expressed notions and predictions certainly fail miserably when tested by actual events.

Have fun with your little "war"...sheesh.

If anything, this has untied the West's hands to move forward with legally implementing the Nicolau award. Remember, they no longer have to appease ALPA either.

You really do understand this situation well. I am impressed.

How does one contact USAPA to file a grievance? There is only a hotline and media contact?
Thanks!

Does anyone know if USAPA is going to pursue or keep open the section 6 avenue for either the west side or east side if straight transition talks break down?

Didn't ALPA try to pursue section 6 for the west towards the end? Where does that stand?

where are we going?

We are on a quest!!! go get some coconut shells and join in!

Look at the committee page and send an email to Tracy Parella. She's been handling grievances for years, until ALPA fired her a month or two ago in some political disagreement (I wonder what that could have been?).

Tracy resigned. She was not fired. Did you even to bother to read her resignation letter? It was made available to you by USAPA.

I'm here to steal your job, now can't we all just get along.

Exactly.

On another note, I would guess that the first hurdle that USAPA must clear is the Transition Agreement.

If it evaporates or can be set aside then USAPA can proceed to negotiate a contract and has a chance of getting it ratified.

However, if the Transition Agreement can not be abrogated and separate ratification remains the law of the land, then it won't matter what USAPA does because ratification will never occur and LOA93 will remain as the east's pay/workrule document until their amenable date. Which, I believe, is 2009 or 2010.

All this assumes, of course, that USAir is not involved in another merger.

BTW. Access to the ALPA boards has now been suspended for AAA/AWA pilots.

She was REPLACED as committee chairman by the MEC. The resignation came later. I wasn't there, just read the shenanigans. She is truly a professional and had always had the pilot's best welfare in mind.

Now, go lick your wounds.
