The contract never classified work as specifically line or base work. It classified the 8 types of work but never what work belongs where. Don't you remember doing C Check cards on the BCs at AA when they tried to shift some cards out of the base to the line? It was still TWU work so no grievance. The letters on the checks don't determine the content of the check and where its done.
 
 

So then explain why all the base guys got equity for the 757 settlement but not the line guys. Your buddies came up with that, not us. I' claimed we needed to get a share of that as well. 
 
 
 

No you can sue the Int'l just seems wrong that you can do it with TWU dues money. And it is your fiduciary responsibility to spend dues money to enforce the contract. Holy crap you do know that is the primary duty of the officers and reps to negotiate and enforce the contract with our dues money?
 

The lawsuit was initiated per the request of Local 565 members at a membership meeting. Their Union had violated their rights and best interests by unseemly practices and they ended up with the worst contract in the industry. People join Unions to get better deals not worse ones, and for some reason you feel that its wrong to use their dues money to protect them from that? 
 
 

The term BC will be gone soon once all aircraft are go to the LUS programs. Then what? No BCs because they are broken up in to Phase Checks.
 

You cant grieve on what may or may not be, you can only grieve on what is written in the contract, and thanks to you there isn't a whole lot we can do about a lot of the things they do. 
 
 

When is the next election? The old 561 guys seem to have their sh*t together. My MIA contacts tell me that Rojas, Knapp, Rivera, and Olsen seem to have a good working relationship with management. I hope they run. We need a change to people who get stuff done and don't blame others for their ineffectiveness and incompetence.
